Desigual RTW Spring 2014
September 5, 2013
Desigual managing director Manel Jadraque said the Spanish megaretailer chose New York City for its first runway show because it’s “the most international city in the world.” Under the design direction of Christian Lacroix for six seasons now, the brand is known for vibrant prints and mix-and-match patterns. For spring, things got started with an homage to Mod with graphic black-and-white prints on dresses and coats. There were touches of tribal, too, with colorful florals, tie-dye motifs and stripes on everything from little frocks to pantsuits, along with a charming sketched motif of Barcelona on a coat.
