^really? don't agree at all. maybe two/three years ago, but at the present she is far away from having one of the best street styles in Hollywood, IMO.

There's absolutely nothing unique about her street style these days. She dresses like a young woman in Forever 21.

I reckon that everyone ripping Diane's style to pieces in this thread must be trendsetters in their own right to constantly feel the need to call her out on her clothing choices. Personally, I do not care that tFS is a fashion forum, or if Diane's choices may not be everyone's cup of tea - I firmly believe that nothing gives people the right to be nasty about someone else's personal choices (unless said people get some kind of sadistic pleasure out of being vicious to someone they don't know, while protected by the anonymity provided by the internet - in which case, I would suggest said people seek some kind of counselling).

This is why, from time to time, I unsubscribe to certain celebrity threads. I can never get used to this level of petty criticism towards people, and I have been on tFS for over ten years. I guess I will never learn.

I'd rather see people like Diane in normal clothes than people with "great" street style such as Nicole Richie, Jessica Alba, Rosie HW, Miranda Kerr, Emmy Rossum and other overdressed, overstyled and obviously not dressed by themselves style "icons". To me they usually look ridiculous.

People seem to forget that most of these celebs, including Diane, just dress for themselves, not us. At least on their everyday.

Thank you, this is exactly what I was going for. Diane Kruger is a very well groomed and beautiful woman who literally dresses for everyday activities such as going to the gym and shopping at the nearest supermarket and doesn't feel the need to overdress. That said, I believe even her most plain choices have a very chic feel to them, especially when she mismatches some items or wears her favorite Chanel purse five times in a row, which is what all of us do.

I've never read any comment ripping Diane's style to pieces or trashing her. She's still one of the most favourites actress to many people here. That's why we keep coming to her thread.

However I can't help but realize that her style has been going downhill since she's moved permentaly to LA and got into the whole "Hollywood game". She's still able to pull some fantastic looks but she definitely lost her effortless touch. I've been following Diane since she started dating Guillaume Canet back in 2001. In the years that followed her style was PERFECTION. Extremely chic and extremely elegant. But most of all it was effortless. When she started dating Joshua she was still perfect. Now though, I barely recognize the Diane Kruger I fell in love with.

The only thing that separates her form girls like Jessica Alba, Miranda Kerr is that she has a real eye and a true sense of style so yes se doesn't seem to be "fabricated by a stylist. This being said her style is very reminescent of these girls and of hollywood "it-actresses" at the moment. The same thing happened to Kate Bosworth in the past few years and is also happening to Rosie HW at the moment. Their style is becoming terribly boring, unsurprising, and most of all trendy , trendy and more trendy ! To the point where it lacks personality and effortlessness. She's not to the point of clotheshorse/ trendwhore in chief that is the Kardashian clan but still I think this is why people complain about her style.

But the thing is a few years ago she managed to wear normal/everyday clothes that were not downright unattractive. And now most of her looks are overly trendy.

And I see few people trashing her, she's still one of the most loved celebrities on tFS. Seems to me people are just giving their honest opinions, which I love, this isn't a fan board. People have different opinions, which is good, and makes for good debates, like this one!
