Dior Men Resort 2023 Los Angeles

It was sewn by the spirit of Christian Dior, using an advance combination of ouija/sewing machine.

Sorry, I totally forgot to leave out the descriptor that also justfies the price! It is “relaxed and modern piece”. Given that fantastic insight, it looks like I won’t be paying my rent for a couple of months. I NEED IT :bounce:

This sounds like the f*cked-up sh*t MGC would say to justify her existence at Dior (beyond her commercial success).

Pure merchandise, no pure vision of fashion or men. Nobody will remember those clothes. I feel like at Vuitton, he designed clothes that mattered for a clear customer in mind… His Dior is really clothes for people who wants to prove that they have money to buy Dior but not any real distinctive style.

And people used to think that he’d be the saving grace of Dior Womenswear someday. LOL

Dior is dead as a brand, let's be honest. They reached their apex with Kris Van Assche and Raf Simons and then it all went downhill once they realised they could make a tonne of money producing and selling cheap garments and canvas bags and random accessories like water bottles and key chains and towels. That is what Dior is now. It's nothing more than a cash cow for the LVMH shareholders.

What's more, both Kim Jones and Maria Grazia Chiuri are extremely trendy and commercial designers, who reflect trends rather than lead the way. They almost design like trend-forecasters and marketing gurus rather than actual designers. And in doing so, they've both cheapened the brand beyond recognition. It's almost embarrassing to wear Dior these days.

Observe who wears Dior Men these days too and their front row. It's all extremely tacky and vulgar and lacking any sophistication whatsoever. Case in point:

DIOR

I laughed at how tacky the hashtag starsindior is, I have gotten used to it mostly but sometimes I still cannot believe how a fabled house like Dior has turned into what it is today, no thanks to the 2 designers you mentioned. They sure deserve a place in fashion hell.
and those clothes on most of those 'stars' are not at all flattering, like the ensemble on Brooklyn Beckham.

This Los Angeles collection is just really uninspiring.

Wow, it's not good on models but a special kind of vile on non-models ....

HA that hashtag is hysterical. “Stars in Dior”, as if dressing like that is something to aspire to. Yes, let me dress as if I just rolled out of bed, hungover, and am running late for a meeting so I just throw on clothes I found on my bedroom floor, that is surely a look I want to go for!!!

Yikes at how bad a majority of their celebrities look. Everyone looks silly.

I mostly only see people wearing the oblique logo pieces when it comes to menswear or the saddle bag. Kim's Dior is not aspirational, it's just expensive at this point. Luckily you can still find some gems from his LV on the secondary market.

Someone should have told a couple of them that sitting down in satin pants isn't the wisest of choices...

But looking at these I don't even know who the Dior Men "Man" is, because they all look so dreadful in their outfits/looks, and once you strip away the Dior logos and labels the clothes themselves represent nothing.

Honestly, they should just close the ateliers down and burn all the Post-Simons/Van-Assche archive and lock up the rest in a vault never to be seen again.

Well, they can also burn Raf' FW13 and FW14 couture collections.
