I've seen these bags around a lot. Are they made by some new designer?

dazzle--You could save up but this seems like a type of style that will quickly be knocked off. It's just a simple bowling bag. I'd wait for a knockoff.

The bags are by Nicky Hilton for Samantha Thavasa. They are cute, but becoming way too... mainstream? For $200, get another purse. Do you have any Sam's Clubs around you? They carry Prada, Fendi, Gucci, etc from last season for discounted prices. Look there... or buy a mini or something! :D

Its cute...

If you want to save up your $$$ to buy it..go ahead. Its your money...but I agree you could probaly find something like it..for a cheaper price. But if you reallllllllllllllly want it..go ahead.

For your age (14) spending $200 on a bag that's trendy, IMO, is not worth it. That's because that bag is something that you'll get sick of let's say in a few months because it's trendy. Not only that, with $200 you could get a lot more better products. Plus your only a student, spend that amount or more when your working.

Some I found at yoox.com, that you may consider:

Helmut Lang (below, left) $76 (They also have it in pink), Furla (below right) $76

Isn't it designed by Nicky Hilton?
Not my style at all and it will be out in a couple of months plus the colors would be hard to match. However, if you can't get it out of your mind, get it ;)

It's all a bit John-Galliano-On-Drugs(as usual)-Meets-Pucci-And-They-Have-A-Party...

for $200 i think you should get another bag. not that the bag is ugly, but you can get your money worth for other bag instead of this.

1st of all, I wouldn't get the green one. You would wear it with like one outfit.
I like the Nicky Hilton bag.
I have some. They are good for the summer. They are almost expired though, they came out last FEBUARY. But they are cute. She has other styles. And they have one exactly like it for $20.00 at AGACCI TOO.
PLUS, it suits you, your 14 and it would be CUTE.

I would say NEVER save up for a "trendy" bag because like someone already said you'll save up, buy it, and 2 weeks later it will be out of style. What I normally do (I'm 13) is ask for a bag for Christmas, my birthday, and for good grades at the end of school. That way you'll get one every 4 months so if it goes out of style you'll have a new one soon.

i really dont like it that much but just because its NICKY HILTON doesnt mean automatically that its hideous.
get it if you like it ;)

Do they have Roots in the US? If so, they make cute leather bowling bags like those ones for probably a fraction of the price.

well i think i'm just gonna save up, i'm at $100 now, lol i think they have cheap ones on ebay...haha

they have those bags for really cheap in this vintage boutique in Waikiki... Exact same purse, but only like thirty bucks or something. O! and for future reference Just because a bag is expensive, does not neccessarily mean they are cool. I would search about online and find a similar bag for cheaper if thats what you're into... otherwise look for bags that are fun and by lesser known designers (unless you really want the Ooh Ahh factor of having a luxury brand purse)

Roots is a Canadian brand and from what I know, doesn't exist in the US.

I know there used to be Roots in the U.S., but it is really a Canadian lifestyle driven company and I know stores in Chicago closed due to poor sales and a bunch of franchisees sued Roots for ever convincing them the brand would fly in the States...

Interestingly enough, company started by a couple of Americans.

Okay, there's your brand tidbit for today folks :P
