Dolce and Gabbana Mens F/W 05.06 Milan

it's catwalking but I cannot copy and post the pictures. I think style.com will have those soon.

For anyone who wants to see the whole collection it's up at GQ UK. http://www.gqmagazine.co.uk/Style/Shows/Autumn_Winter_2005/default.asp

After seeing the whole collection I gotta say I don't think it was their best. It was a little too broken up. The first section was more D&G then Dolce and Gabbana, the suits were good but that's pretty much a given with them, some nice jackets and pants.....but more then anything it had plenty of eye candy. Like I said though, not their best effort.

Favorites...

That petrol blue jacket is lush but apart from that I don't dig the whole homosexual hobo vibe.

well, D&G should add cold medication with the skimpy panties to prevent the guys for getting the flu. :innocent:

i'm quite enamored of this collection having seen all of it. sure, it's predictable, but it contains the decadence i cannot get enough of.

Skinny leg with bunched up at the bottom.. Dior Homme done it already

Wide waistband for the boxers and pants.. Galliano Homme already did it...

Damn... D&G is just copying copying copying
Well, it’s not like Domenico and Stefano haven’t done both before… The ones they are copying with this collection are actually themselves!

The only surprise is the summery feel there is to a lot of the looks.

The strong point of the collection is definitely the more formal Clark Kent-inspired looks, and some of the jeans are quite nice for what they are too.

It’s not one of their strongest collections though, but at least you get what you expect.

I do however think they need to move on!

I realy like a couple of the items here (super man shirt and the button up wool(?) jacket are totally cool :D)

Too much skin for an A/W show. But I liked some of the disjointed pieces from this collection - like the equestrian jackets, trainers, the jeans, and the suits, of course. The only one I probably would wear from head to toe is the v-neck superman tee over the blazer and distressed jeans look.

At any rate, they could have done better. I've always looked forward to D&G's A/W presentations over S/S.

Just a thought, did they show the collection on a straight catwalk? I remember they used to make the models go around this large space with a backdrop in the middle.

me too. As long as there are no big "Dolce & Gabbana" words printed anywhere on the t-shirt...
I'd bet $100 that it says "Dolce & Gabbana" on the back of the neck of the shirt.

if i was a guy, i'd wear those too. those are hot! is that that dude in the first pic the model for armani mania? james penfold?^_^

I saw the Batman and Superman t-shirts in person today. They're basically crap vintage tees. Slightly better cotton than usual for this sort of thing, perhaps. And they were like $230 or something. You could find the same thing in a thrift store. Trust me.

I saw those too, those were D&G though, for the spring/summer 05 collection...it looks like the signature collection version is inlaid with swarovski crystals.

I like that power suit look LostInNJ posted...i guess Dolce & Gabbana is a guilty pleasure of mine, I love the decadent Italian playboy aesthetic (minus the overtly homosexual looks like the underwear ones) knowing I could probably never pull those off.
