This forum doesn't do positivity. Anything a normal person could comfortably wear to go about their day is a glorified Zara design. Anything extravagant, well, the designer might as well go flush themselves down the toilet because they'll never live up to the Old Masters. But God forbid someone references the old masters, because that's boring and derivative. But if they try something new, that's just out of touch navel gazing. There is no praise here.
It's not that simple actually...of course anyone in here has its own preference: someone likes artsy (the JWA stans), someone likes maximalism, some others like minimalism and Phoebe, however it's undeniable how Versace turned into a Michael Kors clone with baroque prints after the Capri acquisition.
It really is, actually. One might expect to see *something* stanned, or at least appreciated, here, that's true. But in practice that's rarely the case, at least for current or relatively recent collections. It was a humorous observation about the forum's culture, not a defense of Donatella's Versace in particular.
