Donna Karan S/S 08 NYC

i too am disappointed...
i don't see enough donna...
i like the last 2 dresses in #17 and the last dress in #15, but those could have easily been in the calvin klein show...

you know what?

I am impressed!! :woot:
BEST collection of Donna i have seen in years.. it is incredible.
but yeah, NY fashion week is soooo boring. I am so over all these clothes and the attitude you can see in everyones faces
actually- i think there was less attitude than usual this season...
more like dis-interest...i think if you could read their minds this is what you'd hear...

*thoughts-
oh my god...it's so f**ing hot outside...this show is way to f**ing long...i am so f**ing exhausted...and i can't believe i have to go to another f**ing show after this...WHAT..it's pouring rain now too?!?!?...F***!!!...now i am NEVER going to get a f**ing cab...argh!...please kill me now!~...

:ninja:...

...

isnt is funny the things we get used to...
and the things that become 'normal' to us...

i would feel so grateful to be at a nyc fashion show...
i can imagine sitting there thinking to myself 'cant believe i'm here...'
and how bizarre to think that some people around me might just want to get the hell out of there...

it's normal....i can understand it...
i suppose when fashion is what you do and you do it non-stop fashion week becomes chaotic and exhausting and full of madness...
from the outside it's all so exciting and PRETTY though...

:innocent:....

soft,

i am comparing it to London and im possibly taking 2 extremes.. but yup i never said that inside noone is complaining and i am the first one. main reason i didnt go to NYC. the cold last season didnt make it any more fun either
at LFW i sit at the shows in converse (when it pleases me), at NY fashion week i feel i would get shot if my clothes dont fit in with all the other gliteratti. it has possibly to do with the difference in designers showing in each town.

okay sorry for drifting off.. back to topic.

i looked over the collection again now and i agree it is not really Donna but somehow i like it.. i have a feeling a new head of design with strong influence is at Donna.
Does anyone know?

I love her palette, the earth tones, the indigos, the grays, it was soft, calmed, I was expecting more of a vibrant yellow, or a deep green...but she can change sometime...I love the effect on the belts, maybe I'm simple, but I totally loved that

after all the boring week in NY, I must say Donna wasnt the dullest point, so come on! don't blame her
I'm glad that Milan is coming!!!!!! that's fun!
