Downturned eyes anyone?

so I never knew I had downturned eyes until one person mentioned it...so im wondering what is the best way to apply make up to them?

also, which celebs have dowturned eyes? just for a little inspiration?!

Katie Holmes and Mena Suvari, who I think has gorgeous eyes. My eyes are down-turned too, and they are my best feature. Whoever said it may not have necessarily been rude, it's just a way of describing an eye shape.

That happened to me with a friend. She was doing my makeup and kept saying how I should bring my eyeliner up at the corners because my eyes were too down-turned. That hurt me, because I always get complements on my eyes. I love my friend, she's not a mean person, but I think it was a subconscious way of her competing with me. I'm sure I've behaved similarly at times without meaning to, unfortunately.

We can't all have wide-open eyes that look like they are about to pop out of our faces. Your friend might just be jealous, downturned eyes can be very sexy and sophisticated in my opininon.

I love almond-shaped lazy eyes. Like Paul McCartneys, I think he has very close to perfectly beautiful eyes. Also, French actress Audrey Tautou has classic almond-shaped (slightly) downturned eyes and she is stunning!

I have the same...I've always found it a challenge to make up my eyes. But I do like the way I look if I do a muted cat-eye look, putting some liquid liner on my top lid and extend the corner out a little bit.

i agree with you all..i never knew or thought about my eyes having a flaw! im still sticking with loving my eyes...butwhen i searched online, it was all about trying to make ur eyes more lifted!

It's true that makeup artists often speak of down-turned eyes as if they are a flaw. But it's their trade to find both beauty and imperfection everywhere. Anyway, no "lifting" going on here, what a travesty!
