Dries van Noten

^ Hmm.. they look like a shorter version of mine, the arch don't seem as high, it might just be the angle though..

 i emailed the store, asking for more photos. i hope it`s just the angle..
i need these shoes.
where can i get them???

WHY oh WHY didn`t i buy them on sale at Browns.....

these were the ones we got from browns...seems to me the only difference is the heel height. and you want them, badly, but trust me you don't need them. ^_^

oh no, lucky, i need them

i will not buy them if the heel is actually lower than the ones browns had. do you know the measurements?

if anyone wants to sell their booties, you know where to go....... :innocent:

They do come in different heel heights. I'm pretty sure the one pictured is the lower one (maybe 3 in?). I didn't see it the higher version in the store, but they definitely have merchandise in the store that isn't listed on the website.

So, did anyone else get the scarfs? I know some think they are too similar to the Balenciaga of last season, but I really love how DvN did it.

thank you, dentro!

does anyone know if i can get these booties anywhere by now?
i check ebay regularly :)

do these booties come in different versions? i just did a search on google, and these came up.. they look a bit off? or is it just the angles of the photos?
Like Dentro said, those come in two different heel heights. The lower version is just below 3' (measuring the highest part). So I'm assuming the higher version is probably 4.25 - 4.5 in... I sometimes see those booties on ebay, but they tend to be overpriced by the sellers. :/

And speaking of shoes, Halo Shoes has a few pretty pairs of DVNs in...

I really want a pair of DVNs for spring... No idea why since I usually don't go for patterened or brightly coloured shoes.

omg, wow. the colours!!

I think the thicker heel really makes those shoes. When i saw them on browns with the normal heel, it wasn't quite right for me but the chunky heel is perfect.

Would anyone happen to know the retail price of this scarf and whether its still in stores? I figured I would ask the tFS Dries experts before I resorted to eBay :)

Those yellow shoes are to die for

^there was one in the barneys mens catalog for $315. they called every single store that carried them and all sold out :( i just sent an email to their belgium store

Oh wow. Thank you for the price information. The seller on eBay is charging more than double  I am going to make a few calls - maybe one will turn up. Fingers crossed.

i knowi'm really late on this isobel..
but the other difference about the booties that no one has mentioned is the platform...
i have never seen them with the platform like that before...
though i have seen different heel heights and i have to say i do not care for the platform at all...

makes them far to chunky and ruins the sleekness that is one of the most wonderful things about them imo...

:ninja:

^ Wow, sharp eyes, softgrey! The booties definitely look better without the platform. Like you said, platform makes them to chunky.

Just wanted to mention that Uniqlo had a pretty decent knock-off of the knotted tee that a bunch of us bought...comes in white, navy and pale grey. :flower:

Luxx, the DvN Hong Kong stored carried other colors but the purple was sold out.

^ Thank you so much!
I will have to get into contact with them - any of the colors will suit me just fine ^_^

I got the scarf in orange and purple, but different texture! :) You will love it for sure, Luxx

softgrey: oh, i didn`t notice the platform either. i knew there was something off with those boots, and of course it`s the platform  and the fact that the heels are too low.

:flower:
