those are great... i love the big chunky but not bulky heel

congrats isobel..

lucky...did you ever get either the swtr or the tunic top we saw at the trunk show?

no Barney's trunk show had issues, just like you mentioned...BUT, I intend to stop in at the boutique in Paris and see if they have the tunic and the sweater I loved that dark moody iris stage, it was my favorite piece.

Some F/W arrivals can be seen here. Not very good images, but you can get some idea.

I am liking the black back-knotted tunic, the strappy shoes, and all the bags. Will need to see the more colorful pieces in person to make a judgement.

^I was with Luckyme at the Dries store and also at the Bon Marché where we saw a bit of the new collection. Sor far, it's gorgeous!

laika I did not know about that Antonioli site, and now that I do I'm in sooooooo much trouble.

thanks for the link laika! I agree with you on the bags, they are gorgeous, as are the leather gloves. And that black dress  I don't think I would have taken another look at it if you hadn't mention the back knot ... and I would have missed out!!

I don't know about the prints, I wasn't really feeling them before and still am unsure.

you're welcome, everyone!

I am really feeling this collection right now...
Really missing Yves, so this kind of sumptuous bohemian is very appealing.

I would love one of the printed tops--or even a dress-- to wear under a vest, and some accessories in that caramel color to wear with black. The bags are so simply sleek and stupendous.

soft, those pants are weirdly you! :p
And they look great worn layered:

yeah...well...
the pants i posted are sheer...chiffon i guess...
so they will need to be layered...
...

i like the ones you posted too...

i don't wear very much print...
but any print that has purple and orange in it is for ME!...
:p

* i have been noticing lately that my love for YSL has an effect on almost everything i like as well...all that peasant/bohemian stuff...
it's in everything that isabel marant does as well...
^_^

vetements, glitzy sweater...I could see it worn with a straight black trouser and a simple black dress shoe.

Dries fall will either make you swoon or cringe, it's that good and that emotive. the prints are very bold, which isn't really a surprise to anyone looking at the runway pictures but up close and personal they are really loud, but still manage to not offend even those afraid of busy prints, like myself, maybe because Dries just has this painters eye when it comes to colors. I found some of the sweaters to be a less interesting then I expected and the chiffon pieces to be the core elements of the collection. those are the ones to build around.

The Dries store in Paris was a bit of a weird experience, staff was uptight, so unlike you picture Dries to be. the store layout was intentionally sectioned by color...I liked the organizational concept but not sure it flowed from a shoppers perspective. a very unique selection not seen anywhere else.

softgrey and laika, I don't remember seeing the pants but the tunics were very sheer. I wouldnt be surprised if the pants are double lined.

Thanks luckyme! suggestions are just what i needed and i think what you just said would be make good styling; i am just not a glitzy person ;)

thanks for the report, lucky! i actually remember the staff being very friendly, if a bit frazzled....maybe they were having an off day.

Barney's has gotten a few pieces in, all of them printed. They have both pairs of pants posted above. The ones softgrey posted are indeed completely sheer, but the others are a slightly heavier weight, almost opaque.

The prints are just like you say lucky, very painterly, just so beautiful and intricate.
