Dries van Noten

so pucci

then i guess it's the lace ups...^_^...

those are more you i think anyway...
they are a pretty high heel...even though it doesn't look it in the pic so much...
i think you would rock them...:mowhawk:

pucci, if you are looking for a basic black bootie, you cannot do better than the first one, imo. But it sounds like you are looking for something more fun, so I say go with the lace-ups....they are just amazing.

pucci, I have the lace ups and I can tell you they run a whole size small, not kidding, its freaky. I love them, they are high...and I wear them with everything. hoenstly, both are an outstanding choice, just a matter of what you want, more basic or more edge.

also monamoore def ships to the US, I buy from them all the time, nicest people, and they cover the customs fees.

go get em, girl...let us know what you choose.

Thanks softgrey, so much for having choice, huh? :p

I was not sure about the lace ups as they are a bit trendy and they seem rather hard to wear... I really don't know what else to wear them with apart skirts, while the other could look nice with some black/grey or navy super slim cigarette pants with just a tiny bit of leg showing..

Misako Brown's stock is usually on the website... but I wish I could find both shoes to try them on.

Thanks guys.. I have been looking at the lace ups for ages... I don't really have the patience for waiting for them to go on sale. Perhaps I should..

EDIT: Luckyme... I am located in the United Kingdom ... I did not see that they ship to the UK on their website..

If anyone has seen the first pair anywhere in London I would love to see them to try them on.

i think they are going on sale like...tomorrow!!!...
so you should wait!...

and what are you talking about...they would look super cool with skinnys....
that looks is totally hot!...

oops, sorry, I wasn't paying attention. you may be right, I don't know if they overseas.

I'm not sure trendy is the right word, I wouldnt classify them as typical oxford or lace up because they have so much more "artsyness" to them. I wear them with everything, straight legs, wide legs and skirts even dresses. also will turn jeans up a notch too.

it would be great if you could try both, though, usually putting them on and comparing side by side will makes the choice clearer.

browns is having their sale starting tomorrow and I just bought two tops at full price :o...I'm about to jump off a cliff.

soft - dries shoes are going on sale tomorrow??? what's this? :)

pucci- aw, I was hoping that you would be able to find them in store miraculously. Maybe you can call and see if they have em so you can try em on :) Have you checked Harvey Nichols?

I have quite short legs though.. so I though the lace ups might look too bulky with skinnys.. the first pair is more streamlined. Hmm...

Does anyone know when Browns usually start their sale? I was really hoping to buy them this weekend.. but I should probably wait...it's soooo hard.

edit:
Really the sale is tomorrow???? Is this in store or only on-line??? I am so glad I have waited!!:woot: Thanks so much for the info you guys!!

yo- calm down...
i said LIKE tomorrow...
...
i have no idea when exactly..
i am in NY after all...
but i know that ny stores are starting their sales right about this weekend...

so---it stands to reason it's pretty similar..yes?

pucci_mama - I have the first bootie, so I'm a little biased, but honestly, I love both shoes. They are different, I think the second pair is more fun while the first is more classic. I'd personally be concerned about the heel height of the 2nd pair (4.5 inches, which is too high for me). The 2nd pair doesn't really seem bulky to me ... do you mean the laces? They look pretty fitted.

misako - sorry, I don't have any experience with the antwerp store, but I'm guessing if the Paris store will ship, so will the others. Good luck!

^I think not, actually, softie. From what I hear sales in the UK start a lot later....like in December.

oh really?...
sucks for them...
:innocent:...

:ninja:.
*don't throw booties at me please!!......

:p

Ok... getting a little carried away here. UK always starts they sale much later than the US, from what I've seen.

That is why I was SO surprised. Ok, I need to calm down... you guys are lucky that can shop Christmas pressies on sale!

At least luckyme can feel better then...lovely tops, lucky! I wonder if the purple is really that vibrant...looks like a beautiful color.

thank god, I just about had a heart attack :sideways:. I always remembered the UK sales happening much later then the US. and with only one size left in each I got nervous, I'd loose out on them.

Im so glad you said that. I can actually wear bright purple and blue reds but other than that I am not a fan of color so it worked out well. but laika, it was a big step for me...so thanks all of you, for the mental support

tourist10 - you didn't by any chance get a shipping quote from the paris store? I'm hoping the shipping won't be ridiculous. :) Thanks for answering all my questions!

^ sorry, I haven't actually had anything shipped from them ... I asked about it when I was at the store last spring, thinking that would be a last resort if I couldn't find a particular item, like the situation you're in. You should just call, at least at the Paris store, everyone spoke fluent English and are really quite nice and helpful.

tourist10 - Thanks so much. I'll be doing that. :) Damn them for not having my shoe in the states! Well, more like damn the buyers, lol. and damn elle magazine for misleading me that Barneys would have em! haha.
