Dries van Noten

Can I just say the thought of getting the lace ups makes me really excited.:brows:

^^ahhh...she's coming around....^_^...
i'm glad pucci..and i hope you sent back those silly platform monsters!!!...
:judge:...

..

oh yeah---
forgot to say congrats lucky...:D
i love that colour for you...and the print on the other top is cool...i like the way the arms go...it reminds me of yohji actually...

it's very japanese...

awesome, thanks soft :flower: ...

what silly platform monsters, what did I miss...???

The Jill Sanders....

Browns messed up the order was supposed to get them that weekend and then go down to return them. Easy I thought with free shipping, but a week went and they still had not sent them out... so I cancelled.
I will give them a second look at 50% off though. :ninja:  step away from the platforms... guess it's a fantasy in a way.. that I can be tall with them, and they just stood out at selfridges.

But yes, they have gone back.. thanks for leading me in the right direction Soft and Luckyme, I need a push sometimes. :flower:

Luckyme wanted to ask you.. as you got the boots are they comfortable? I want some I can wear everyday...

Softgrey I got the boots you got at zara, they are so great thanks for the tip on them... I know we wear them in different ways but they are

hi pucci, yes, they are comfortable, very, but they are like wearing a high heel so as long as you aren't looking for an everyday "flat-foot" comfort style these are your booties...but I went up a size because the toe cage runs narrow.

even at 50% I would try the jil sander's first, I heard they are impossible to walk a step in. the more I look at them, the more awkward they appear.

LOL, tried calling the Antwerp store 4 times from 1:30 to 2am this morning...it wouldn't go through! And then I try calling at 9:20am this morning (which is of course, after 6pm in Antwerp - and they are likely closed), and it RINGS. Ahhh! I can't stand it! I'm trying again this morning. LOL

really?!?!??!...

so how are you wearing them???...
i'm DYING to know...

come on...
i LOVE seeing how several people would wear the same item...
we should all post pics in that double dip thread so we can see everyone's personal interpretation..
i love that...i get so inspired from that!...

i mean- i obviously like the way i wear things or i wouldn't wear them that way...
but i love how someone can do something else completely that i would never have even though about...
that's the BEST!!!..

*i'm going to go post about this now over there...^_^

Well, I just know we have different style... so it would only be natural that we team it slightly differently. ;)

BTW, got the lace ups shoes today...... and I adore them!!!! They are so much better IRL than in picture, they are high but that is what also makes them sexy!:woot: And softgrey, you were right---they are actually very 'me'.

Thanks for the help everyone!

pucci - how did those run? I've gotta figure out what size I should get in my booties. I'm normally a 6.5 in most sizes (US)/36.5 in EU sizes.

misako- you cannot go by the lace ups...
they run differently than all the others...

just get your normal size- you will be fine..
don't stress!!...:winkiss:...

i feel like such a rebel..:mowhawk:...
i'm the only one NOT getting some dries booties/boots this season!...
...

pucci- i cannot be sure what your style is exactly...
i can only go by the purchases i have witnessed in STYD..
do you think you will ever post a pic of a look?...

:innocent:...

soft - Thanks! Haha, I'm nervous about the sizing since I'll probably be ordering from Europe and returns may either not exist or be ridiculously expensive, so I want to be sure I'm ordering the right size off the bat. :D I think I'll try calling a few more stores that sell Dries too and ask them how things are running this season just to be sure... :)

Misako the dries shoes were really tight... but I have thin ankles so I got my usual 35.. after a fair bit of struggle.. I cannot wait to wear them!!!

Softgrey
even I don't really know what my style is nowadays.... it has started to evolve, I can feel it... unsure about where it is taking me... but I am enjoying it.

But posting a picture... hm..

...
i love that face pucci...

i know- how many years have you been here?...
and still no pics???...
:ermm:...:hardhead:...:p

Now look soft, I have posted a few around here and there.... in few but very selective locations.

hmmm...do i smell a challenge???...:p

spot the pucci pic?...
wheeeeeere's pucci?...
...

...

right- so just tell me how you are wearing those booties at least...
please...
:flower:

Ack, neither the Antwerp or Paris stores ordered my shoe! (odd that their own boutiques wouldn't order it!)

Who could carry it then?

Any suggestions of any other overseas stores that may carry them?

Thanks everyone. :)

^ Misako, did you try the Hong Kong store? Sorry you're having so much trouble!

tourist - Thanks, I'm going to try them soon. I know some people over there so if they have them I could have em shipped to me cheaper, I guess.

I hope they have them over there!

Man, these are the shoes that never made it anywhere except into Elle Mag and on Irina Lazareanu's feet! :/
