Dries van Noten

^ Oh, Tourist, you've made me blush! Thank you for the lovely compliment!

It is quite voluminous, I agree. It'd look great with slim bottoms and baggy ones alike, I think. It'd just take a discriminating eye and careful attention to detail to effectively pull it off. Would love to see it paired with a vest - either beneath it or over it, as well. It somewhat reminds me of a creme, cotton-silk blend capelet I recently purchased from Banana Republic. Same sleeves and all, too!

:woot:

^Thanks! :woot: I'm wearing them for the first time today... hopefully I can get someone to take a picture of me in them!

multitudes - the men's buy at browns does seem bland ... I do love some of the colors there though. my husband would probably love the sweaters, but his work place is very conservative, so ...

You're right, there is some nice colors there,
but as you also pointed out, it does seems like it's
catered to a more conservative wardrobe, but what
puzzles me is, what you saw on the runway was
definitely not. And for my work wardrobe, I'm mostly
in comfortable oversized dancewear, either at home
with pencils and canvas or in a dance studio with sweat
running down by body, so not much use there either! :p ..

I'm really hoping to find these sheer knits Dries did.
They will be beautiful for layering or just by itself!

ok, so I wore them today.
The good news :woot: :
They looked awesome
They didn't get dirty at all
Everyone liked them
Wearing them, I was like 6'2''

The bad news:
My feet hurt like hell!

multitudes, I didnt realize you were a dancer, SUPERB. that airy sweater seems like a perfect look for you.

cutxpaste, they hurt, thats not good. Dries never hurt my feet, are they wide enough? sometimes he cuts narrow, well actually, quite often in winter.

I'm back on the prowl for Dries shoes - I couldn't find the style I wanted, but now these in orange patent are on sale, and I'm hoping to find em - if anyone sees them at Nordstrom Rack, Nordstrom, Barneys Co-Op, Neiman Marcus, Neiman Marcus Last Call, or any other store in a size 37 in the ORANGE patent and the 4" heel, preferably under $250, please let me know! :)

i was there yesterday and i HATE all of the dries for spring...
:ninja:...

which is good because i LOVE a LOT of other things and at least this is one thing i won't be tempted by...

:p

^ thanks - I actually was looking for the yellow pair (but in orange patent) wayyy back when, but I could never find it in orange patent. The pair i got was my second choice, but oh well! I would buy the yellow one now except they're out of my size. :(

tourist, the dress that you won on ebay is pictured in Elle magazine page 156, the February issue. I just noticed it and totally get why you were so mesmerized by it. the pattern is really beautiful.

if anyone is still looking for the knee-high boots, they seemed to have a few pairs still left at butter...and at 50% off!

really? I'm surprised they would feature a past season item. You don't happen to have a scanner, do you?? :D

I was at the boutique yesterday and there's still lots of stuff on sale even shoes! I did't buy anything this time as my sales budget is long gone!!

About the new collection except for some plain white tops and a gorgeous green one, I saw nothing exciting really (well for me)...

tourist, this one's for you! I don't know if it's the exact dress, hard to tell because it's draped over a chair.
