These twins seem to be very big at the moment. I am not sure what to think. Their work doesn't seem that great. It just looks like they are copying existing trends.

and are both of them gay?

They are terss tarshy, its liek Abercrombie and fitch on acid trip. I can't even call it design.

i guess they are both gay, although I doutn see hwo it relates.

they are hyped , far too hyped for their own good if you want my opinion...

And I predict several years from now we won't even remember their names....

Clearly the newfound (and undeserved) hype has gone to their heads, as they actually have the nerves to make grossly generalized criticisms against their peers. I remember reading a quote in a magazine interview where they said they consider some of the looks presented on the runway by their competitors to be "so ********-looking".

And then they turn around and send out some dude in a trucker hat, latex-tight bumcrack-revealing jeans and a skinny tee with "hustler" written on the chest.

I mean, come on.

Winter 2003 was wicked, but ever since that they've lost the touch more and more for each collection.

They have a special style. I like them a lot. Also their ads are just spectacular!(Steven Klein is spectacular ofcourse...)

I can see some of their outfits working on some people, but I don't see them as "designs". nothing original or surprising, they just copy and mix everything that is already there and put the label on. totally over hyped.

I hate it but one of my gay friends absolutely adores everything they do! I guess if they're having fun and creating what they want then we can't really b*tch about them. B)

Yeah obviously they're way too hyped but their shows are so fun; they're not really great designers but who cares, they're not the only ones (Zac Posen comes to mind), and if you're into that sporty kind of thing Dsquared is IT, much better than Tommy Hilfiger or Diesel.

...and much more expensive too. I understand the need for something fun and light-hearted, but these aren't exactly words I'd use to describe their price tags.

I seriously wonder just what the heck did those twins learn from Parson's, or how on earth did they graduate in the first place.

I think they should team up with Galliano, won't that be a circus...

True...but at least at one point Diesel had a strong selling point: THEIR JEANS. I never bought into the Diesel "lifestyle" they were trying to sell. In fact, as a rule I don't appreciate any designer trying to throw a certain lifestyle at me. It goes beyond simply capturing a certain feeling or mood of a time or season. Aren't my clothes supposed to fit into my lifestyle, not the other way around?

Just MHO, of course. :innocent:

 You brilliant, radical thinker you! ;) B)

While we are on the subject of DIESEL ,
has anyone noticed that the present campaign , " Nature , love it while it lasts " , is a dead take-off of the " Humanature " campaign by MARITHE et FRANCOIS GIRBAUD of a couple of seasons ago ? :o

Plagiarism is rife , methinks .

It doesn't. I didn't imply it did. I am just curious.
