I have a horrible feeling that all this hooplah means that the Catons ARE going to end up as the new designers for CELINE : God love us !!! :o

KIT :innocent:
Oh goodness, I hope not. I couldnt think of a bigger insult to Michael Kors to be followed by the Caten twins.

I like what they do, I just dont agree with the high fashion respect they're being given. I apologize to D2 fans, but it's kind of like a slightly chicer Baby Phat for Burberry prices.

We have D2 fans here? Where?

I looked through some of their shows. They really do have some good pieces, but a lot of it just gets lost amongst the tacky abercrombie sh*t they lather on in ridiculous amounts in their collections.

Well... I guess Dsquared are huge (in Chelsea!).
They definitively have a gay following ... but it's cuz it fits the over-the-top campy style many club-goers go for ...
Personally, I like some of the stuff they do -honest!- ... but I'd rather do the vintage thing ... I guess they could be good stylists (on their own wavelenght, if you get me) ... but as designers ... hum ...
You've to keep in mind that they did Madge/Xtina/N*sync on their respective tours .. so if you equate exposure = sales = -dazzled youth- hype
PS I'd feel truly dissapointed if they get the stint at Celine ... and both Dean and Dan seem very obvious to me (as I've seen on interviews)

Their stuff is waaaaaay too expensive for what it is. If it was cheaper I might be more interested, but no way am I paying 400+ dollars for a belt buckle.

faust, check the other Dsquared thread. Your'll find your answer there.

Apparently to some people, their clothes are "classic", "simple", and "clean".

I can so imagine myself wearing that to work....if I were a gay hustler. :P
