I'm sure it's been mentioned here before, but Du is her last name. I find it funny that everyone calls her by that name.

]If it was written in the Western style, yes. In East Asian cultures (e.g. China, Japan, Korea), they always start with the surname first. And Juan wouldn't be pronounced like the Spanish name "wan" but more like "dj-uen". It's kind of a hard sound to explain because there's no English equivalent.
