The Cavalli ads posted showing Du in men's type clothing is reminiscent of Helmut Newton photographs from the 1970s. Especially the last pic with her and a femme looking Daria, it's the same lesbian theme from the Gia Carangi photographs by Newton. Why can't photographers and ad people come up with original ideas anymore?

I have no idea about that because of my lack of knowledge, but I think it looks great! Cavalli ad is my favorite this season.

i wouldn't say it's exactly the same thing.
in the newton shooting of gia and the other girl there were definite roles, while this one is more articulated. daria apparently seems the femme but the more you watch the pic, the more you see she's more masculine than du juan, despite the dress.
