du juan: in 2007, i participated in 2 seasons of NY, milan and paris fashion shows, and besides shooting editorials and covers, i also advertised for local chinese cosmetics brands. i think china has really got to know me and understand me.

d: flying to different places all the time is very rewarding but at the same time difficult, i hope i get to stay in china more often in 2008

d: like 2007, i will be taking part in NY, paris and milan shows, and shooting editorials, covers and campaigns in china. what i would like to complete? i think i word hard on every job, and i hope i will be able to finish my work to the best of my ability.
r: what do you wish for in 2008?
d: in 2008...i hope that i can spend more tim at home with my parents and sleep in....i also want to participate in more charity and environmental work.
r: do you have any highlights in 2008? what do you plan to do during the 2008 beijing olympics?
d: 2008 is when our country hosts the olympics, i think that it means something special to every chinese person. i really want to watch the olympics, i've signed up to be a torch bearer...hopefully i'll be accepted...
r: have you ever considered working in other parts of the entertainment industry? such as singing or acting?
d: not at the moment
r: the modeling industry, was this something you wanted to be working in? what has it given/taken away from you?
d: i've actually always wanted to be a ballerina, but now modelling is what i do.i think that in life, there are always pleasant surprises, and right now i should do well on my current job [modelling] and wait for the next surprise. modelling has given me many beautiful experiences and work with amazing people in the industry. i've lost a lot of quality time with my family and friends, but after thinking, i think it's still worth it.

du juan is so beautiful. i really like her new vogue cover. simple but fierce!
I mentioned this a while back she was photographed by Hiro in Harper's Bazaar but it was only a 2-3 page spread. I complained why did they bother to photograph her with such a small layout, the reader only asks for more!!!!! She looks very beautiful in this photo, and thanks to Hiro who was a protege to Avedon.

Has anyone noticed that she has the tiiiiniest waist? That's the first thing I ever noticed about her and the one thing that always strikes me on the runway
