Du Juan

It's so weird that every designer invites her to openings, dinners, galas et cetera in China but they don't cast her in their shows :ninja:

^ I was just thinking that! Or, I had thought of it before, I should say.

it is with curiosity why Bailey didn't used Du Juan for runway ever

she has a better walk compared with hye and looks good in Burberry too......:(

There's nothing wrong with Du, but I think Bailey chooses Hye because she fits the brands aesthetics a little more than Du would. Burberry tries to propel youth in their campaigns and on their runway, and Hye has more charisma and a more youthful appearance that suits the brand better when you compare to the other models he uses. Du is more of an elegant, quiet beauty so that's probably why...

I find Du Juan the most classically beautiful out of most top asian models :D
While I find Du more conventional or pretty I find Hye has more youth. ;)

Although western design companies (Chanel, Armani, Ferragamo, Calvin Klein, Fendi, Burberry, Mont Blanc, etc.) have shows and events in China, they're sneaky enough to know it's just paying lip service. Their shows in China feature plenty of Chinese models, but it's only that Chinese show, the same show in NY, Paris or Milan would have only one Asian or none. These companies know the market they're selling to, and to kiss butt when it's necessary, not because they want to on their own free will. It's all about the perception so they can get the Dollar, Euro or the Yuan, whatever is necessary to get the money from whatever country/market segment.
