Ece Sukan - Editor at Large, Vogue Turkey (model, stylist, vintage store owner)

This woman came to my attention a few months ago when UK Vogue did a feature on fashion week. Her style was so strong and defined. She is Turkish with a store based in Istanbul.

I will try to dig out my magazine - but in the meantime here's a few pics:flower:

These etro over the knee boots are a bit of a trademark for her

Johnathan Saunders dress and Alexander McQueen boots

God - the woman has such attitude - I'm in love with this outfit but no-one else could get away with this.

She was a somewhat unsuccessful runway model in Turkey who became a photographer and a stylist later. She opened a vintage clothing store and with many connections and dressing some celebs in Istanbul, she made herself a name. You know: dating the right men, being at the right parties... the whole nine yards. She is known to be a nice/decent person. I do not know how unique her style and presence have been, but I bet she is reading the tfs pages religiously and trying to see what Alt and Roitfeld are doing to copy.

Some of her photo spread for Turkish fashion magazines have been direct replicas of Carine's styling work with Tom Ford and Testino, or for Vogue Paris. But that is a given: I mean it is so easy to copy those magazines in someplace like Istanbul and get away with it.

I met her during Paris fashion week spoke with her at the Hussein Chalayan show and Givenchy, she is really great! I also saw she is close with Lagerfeld & Mathew Williamson. Is she going to work for Vogue Turkey? Where is the Vogue Turkey thread anyway? She is very nice and yes she has attitude like that 70s kind of attitude which is beautiful! I always see her with an entourage of photographers and cameramen trying to catch her! :) Go Ece! love you <3

Dress in the first two pics is from Michael Hoban / North Beach Leather. One of their most popular styles from the late 80s.

^ thanks for the outfit id :flower:

And thanks FashionTopFace for your insider comments - it's nice to know that some people in the industry aren't always stand offish

Saw her again at Givenchy & Armani haute couture took some pix but theyre not good cause she was sitting too far away from me so wont post them. LOVE seeing her at the shows!!! she looked VERY VERY hot & beautiful at Armani. dont know which other shows she also went anyone has pix?

If you're unable to post the pics you took, could you describe what she was wearing? :flower:

Not sure the top, but dress appears to be Jean Claude Jitrois. Jitrois has carried on the "strips" of leather construction for a while and even in some of his newer pieces, but I would put the dress between 1997 and 1998, especially since Ece likes vintage or older statement pieces of fashion

At London Fashion Week

I want these sunglasses! They're so kitsch!
