You can tell that he is actually selling couture... these could just go off the catwalk to any event without further editing, he knows what his customers want and need and still keeps it interesting and one-of-a-kind. Some of the looks (and colours) I don´t care about, but it´s definitely better than what people like Valentino are doing lately.
This looks like a good Versace Atelier collection. There are some exquisite gowns and some that are very very horrible. I see a bit of Valentino in the suits as well.
This dress is horrible:

I hate the colour and I certainly hate the fabric! Every single couture week in Amsterdam, the big couturiers from Holland use that fabric constantly and everytime it looks the freaking same. Yet they still dare to say how fashion forward they are.
beloved...
This is a graceful collection, really. But I see too many influences here and there, I could be mistaken for other couturier.
But the dresses are divine...
There is some wonderful eveningwear here, but for a collection so large, to me there was too much relative sameness. Kind of like a big bowl of skittles, the colours are different, the flavors are a little different, but it's all essentially the same thing. Maybe thats not a fair criticism, anyway I thought some of the individual pieces were great.
Okay I'm going to be honest. I am snobby and when I think of couture, Elie Saab does not come to mind. I admit some of it's very pretty but as a low rent Valentino mixed with Versace. Everytime I hear Elie Saab, I always think of that sad Christmas outfit Halle Berry wore to the Academy Awards.
