Elie Saab Spring/Summer 2005 Couture

love it!love the colour and also the presentation!!Very wearable but still couture he doesnt try to make extremely flamboyant pieces just because they are couture.

i also like the presentation

good colours for his clientele...which tends to be rather specific i think...

but overall...i think that is the best i've ever seen from him...i'm not usually a fan...
as i find his designs a bit forced and a tad tacky...

but he seems to have loosened up the fit and lightened up the fabrics while adding some embellishments with the stones and the over-sized flowers...i'd say he'll be the one to pick up whatever versace customers may be looking for a new place to spend their money...

very nice...thanks for posting all the pictures everyone...

some of these dresses look a bit messy for the price tag they ask for...

i cant help but think 'miss universe' when i see these, rather than 'red carpet'
definately not one of my faves

I agree with softgrey. The best we've seen from him. Perfect for his clientele. Doesn't he have one of the most successful couture businesses? I believe he has a huge client base in the Middle East.

yes...that's true metal...and i was thinking how beautiful all those colours will look on dark skin...i believe he is very successful...yes... ;)

Although I love Elie Saab, don't get me wrong, he tends to get a wee bit repeatitive. I sometimes think that seen one Elie Saab seen all Elie Saabs. Beautiful colors in this collection though.

Beautiful. My favourite collection from Paris couture week, not too flamboyant and out there. I agree with Urban Stylin, I can actually imagine people wearing these dresses, very wearable and still couture. Unlike Dior which is just art, never meant to be worn off the runway. That silver wedding dress is so perfect.

Too tacky for my tastes. Elie Saab has always been tacky. I hardly see any sign of improvement.

this has been my fave collection of his.

I think there are just too many frills and too much sequence and bright colors. I wish the man would choose just one of those and stick with it. There is just too much clutter and it looks like a messed up beauty pagent. While i can see some red carpet stars wearing these dresses, i dont think these dresses have style. There are compents of the dresses that are pretty. Some of the patterns are very pretty, and the last wedding dress w/ Tiiu was very pretty. But does this remind anyone of the versace show last season for spring 04?

I think it's better than what I expected.. Somehow I can't help but think of Paris Hilton wearing this..

Thanks for all the pictures :flower:

i even see adina is lookign healthier maybe she visited tfs
