I thought I'd seen that image before - what a swizz! They could have put any one of a number of people on the cover, so why go with an old picture of Madonna, who isn't even up to anything at the moment?

I'd rather they even used a man on the cover, than use such a mass-reproduced image like this one. I'm sure a home-grown hottie like actor James McAvoy could shift a few copies on the newsstand... or pair someone like him with an up-and-coming model, to combine the themes of celebrity and fashion.

I'd glad you said that about the Madonna article, because too often I pass straight over celebrity interviews to get to the fashion pages - and that piece was actually interesting.

Elbows at the ready for when that Giles Deacon collection arrives in New Look. For some reason, I like the look of the range of shoes, even though they're not my usual style, and I'll bet they'll sell out in a heartbeat.
