So glad to see Sanne, and she's looking great here (sans that horrible D&G dress). Unfortunately the art direction isn't the strongest, it looks so amateur.

The art director (Joep Becx) seems to be experienced, though. Before becoming Elle's art director, he has worked for (at least in The Netherlands) famous brands and magazines.

I like the way the Dutch Elle currently looks, btw. But when it comes to the contents, it's not what it used to be +/- 1999-2008. I've read there's spend less money on the magazine since a couple of years - and it's obvious. O.k., sometimes there are nice editions, like the augustus editions from both 2014 and 2015.

(Must have been 'August editions'; English isn't my native language and I seemed half asleep. :( )

I guess I'm just not a fan of his art direction here. Elle Nederland's photography always looks great, and this is no exception, but I just feel that the overall cover looks a bit bare. The last issue I got was the anniversary Chanel one, and I always enjoy anniversary issues because of the retrospective angle. Otherwise it's very difficult to get it here (I do see it in Germany when I visit), Vogue and Harper's is much more easier to get.
