While I know it's a magazine that focuses on a wider range of issues than just fashion, it seems that so many covers of French Elle feature someone wearing really casual clothes. That can be a refreshing choice, but not if it accounts for around half the cover stories the publication is putting out.
People don't have to appear in couture on every cover, but the magazine has licence to experiment a lot more than it does, while still remaining within the boundaries of ordinary readers' tastes.
But I suppose, by saying that, I'm just encouraging the sight of more naked Eric Cantona.
