Elle Thailand March 2022: Ola Rudnicka by Per Florian Appelgren
^Huh, just noticed in her thread this cover is a reprint from a Harper's Bazaar Turkey 2020 editorial.
. When I first saw the cover on Elle Germany's Instagram yesterday, I was over the moon about Ymre. As per usual, though, there was no mention of photographer in the post, let alone any reference to the production team. I thought nothing of it, as Elle Germany can be shabby (or shady) like that. I did check Ortner's Instagram, since he seems to be the in-house photographer as of late, and I found it weird that he had not posted anything about the new cover. Of course he hadn't. It is not new. What I didn't expect is for it to go back two years. This is no longer a fashion magazine, but fashion archaeology. I really appreciate the information you just provided. I still feel like an idiot for getting my hopes up, but now I am an educated idiot.
Thank you for your contribution on here! I am equally baffled by this whole situation. Had I not noticed the previous post in Ymre's thread, I never would have realised it's a reprint either! (And yes, it is very annoying that Elle Germany does not mention or tag anyone in their Instagram posts!) Usually their contents are pretty good, with a sleek layout design and no obviously desperate attempts to try and appeal to the tik tok generation in terms of fashion imagery and written pieces. But yes, the original content is becoming scarce, as we see here. Since the german edition of Vogue has become irrelevant in the age of globally reclycled editorials too, my favourite magazine here is now Harper's Bazaar. At least they feature models on 90% of their covers and serve a lot of interesting fashion content, with reprints being a rare exception. I like it so much, that I even oversee the fact they give a cover to Heidi Klum's GNTM winner every year now, haha.Elle Germany April 2022: Ymre Stiekema by Andreas Ortner
Sadly she has no editorial inside! It's a thing Elle Germany does a lot.
