Emanuel Ungaro S/S 05 Paris

This actually turns out to be a very good collection. Exuberant, exotic, very exciting, and very Ungaro (the florals and the sexiness). The gowns are absolute show-toppers (I'd wear them myself!!), and Ungaro's added his unique flair to the circle skirts. The chiffon tops with satin pants and the occasional head-to-toe green made the collection uneven, but they don't detract from the overall superb show. Ungaro and Gaultier this season outshine Galliano and Dolce & Gabbana.

The mods look gorgeous. In particular, Liya Kebede, Caroline Ribeiro, Eugenia Volodina, Marija, Polina, and Valentina.

I am usually a big Ungaro fan but to be honest, I am not crazy about this one. There are a couple of nice pieces, partricularly the dress worn by Liya (posted by LibertyRose) but overall it didn't do anything for me.

anyway...i thought this was typical classic ungaro and was very pretty for what it was ...like missoni...nothing earthshattering...but very strong and very ungaro...

This is a good collection I think. The first few white ballet-esque outfits stole my heart, but then as the collection continues, he loses my attention. To many interpretations of the hippie-style in this collection are some that I have seen a lot this season and a bit unoriginal thus. But then again, those last few dresses were very wonderfull. Exotic and quite sensuous.
