Embryolisse Moisturizer

I love Embryolisse! I've been using it for quite some time now and I'm a big fan. It really moisturizes your skin; keeps it soft and smooth. I usually spritz some Caudalie Eau de Beaute before I apply it. Some days I use it as a moisturizer, day and night cream haha!

FYI they also sell it at Ricky's in NYC :-). It's pretty cheap.

I have blackheads on my nose, no change at all. Mineral oil makes no difference, they clog even if I wear nothing at all.

I don't believe in all the crap people say about mineral oil. I think some companies, ahem, have an interest in promoting themselves on the expense of others :innocent: The same with parabenes. If you think they're bad, then stop eating strawberries and carrots. They contain many more parabenes than you'll ever absorb from whatever creme you're using.

The good thing about the lait-creme concentre is that there are no plant extracts except for aloe vera, so you don't risk any allergies by slapping it on.

I think they have removed parabens from their ingredient list anyway, which is why I'm going to try it. Hope it will be moisturising enough for my dry and flaky skin:P

Well, go ahead then. I've tried the formula with and without, there is no difference at all.

And stay away from those nasty carrots and strawberries, you wouldn't want to ingest some of those dangerous parabenes :o:lol:

Now now, aren't we going a bit over the top here:rolleyes:
It's a personal choice, don't understand why you have to rub it in. Be nice:flower:

Now that doesn't sound patronising at all:lol:

I just think it's pointless to be scared of parabenes as they haven't been proven to be harmful - some just think they are anyway. I'm much more iffy about plant derived oils and scents (I'm allergic to lavender which is in basically everything that smells nice ) because they are allergens. But some companies make money off claiming that if it's natural it must be good, which isn't true at all, and these companies have pretty much launched a crusade against parabenes and mineral oil (which is the second ingredient in this moisturizer) to make their products look better and safer. It's a load of crap IMO.

I do think there is perfume in it, but I don't think it's plant-derived (yay). The ingredients:

AQUA. PARAFFINUM LIQUIDUM. STEARIC ACID. GLYCERYL STEARATE. TRIETHANOLAMINE. CERA ALBA. CETYL PALMITATE. BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII. STEARETH-10. POLYACRYLAMIDE C13-14 ISOPARAFFIN, LAURETH-7. PROPYLENE GLYCOL, HYDROLYZED SOY PROTEIN, ALOE BARBADENSIS. 1,2-HEXANEDIOL, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL. TROPOLONE. PARFUM.

I think some of the older versions contained vit A and E, but I could be wrong. Does anyone know?

Why can't they make a fragrance-free version like Bioderma does with the Sensibio cleanser?

^Ida, what kind of scent does yours have? I bought mine from American Amazon, although all the text is in French, and there's no artificial scent. It just smells a little plasticy, which I assume is from the mineral oil.

^Really? Mine smells...well, sweet and perfume-y I guess? I suck at describing scents :ninja:

easyparapharmacie.com - shipping is rather expensive, so I stock up on all my staples (cleanser, moisturizer, conditioner, shower gel etc) whenever I order

No, I just checked the ingredients of mine and there is no parfum. I don't know if you speak French, Ida, but if you don't maybe easypharmacie only sells the scented version and says so in French? I actually wish mine had a little scent, I'm not sensitive to it and the plasticy whiff is a little strange!

It doesn't state that it's the scented version, and it isn't possible to buy the perfume-free version  My French is rusty, but that much I am sure of. My French vocabulary is pretty much limited to skin care and make up :ninja:

that's strange! I wonder if the American version was only FDA approved without perfume or something.

I've only been using this for two days, but so far I really love it! I like that it isn't thick, it sinks in quickly, feels light but moisturizes very well!
Mine is scented too, but it's barely noticeable so I'm not bothered

I was sent the original formula which contains parabens, so I'm a bit annoyed atm.
