^ yeah I know what you mean!:innocent:

I usually sneak in to Escada to grab their latest catalogues! :ninja::lol:

But they do have some great (expensive) stuff! :flower:

^ Ohhh... I ordered the new catalog to my friend's address for 'some' obvious reasons. :shifty:  I hope she'll get it soon! :buzz:

...and I think their new designer is doing not bad! :D

I hope the talks with Apex will settle something out soon. ^_^

Here is a positive review from Robert Janjigian. ^_^

Designer Damiano Biella's first full collection for Escada is lighter looking and less staid

Damiano Biella's first full-fledged collection for Escada, the Munich-based apparel and accessories house, strives to please a more fashion-minded and youthful-thinking customer, while providing plenty of options for women who've come to rely on the line.

Biella's Escada spring-summer 2008 collection, presented by Neiman Marcus during the Nov. 29 Florida Friends of Schepens Eye Research Institute's Vision of Beauty benefit luncheon at The Mar-a-Lago Club, offers lighter-looking fabrics and constructions, significantly less over-the-top embellishment and a reduced number of staidly safe styles.

There are flirty ruffles and slinky jerseys, floral prints that don't come off as too sweet for grown women to wear, safari-influenced pieces that don't take on the theme too literally, a terrific range of tops featuring volumetric sleeve treatments and sashes around the waist to create a pleasing sense of structure and proportion.

Color is key, with some electric tones included. And when Biella does something basic, such as a navy jersey dress or a black skirt suit, the emphasis is on draping, twisting or pleating as well as couture details that endow the garments with a degree of lavish complexity and a freshly subtle expression of luxuriousness.

It's a new look for Escada, one that presumably will appeal to its longtime client base and draw a new generation of customers.

really pretty collection

haha Kim Noorda knows how to make things look better on her...

:ermm: this label is showed collections in both munich and palm beach?

^ According to Palm Beach Daily, Escada did show in Palm Beach. But I wonder why the clothes were different from the ones seen on the website as worn by Kim  and by all means, Kim does make the clothes look great! Far greater than seen on anyone else.

^ Ohhh... I ordered the new catalog to my friend's address for 'some' obvious reasons. :shifty:  I hope she'll get it soon! :buzz:

Oh yeah, and what "obvious" reasons might they be?:huh::lol:

I have always been a big Escada fan.

I never understood why they didn't get more recognition and praise. :flower:

(Slightly off subject but...) do you remember the gorgeous ads with Eugenia and Julia in them (winter 2004 I think)?! :crush:

^ My history of requesting catalogs and not buying... :innocent:

...and it looks like this season is another one of those seasons! :ninja:

But oh... those slimming black dresses look so irresistible on Kim Noorda!

So this season might be a history-making moment, who knows? ;)

^ Oh I how love those "history-making moments"!

And yes you're so incredibly right about Kim, she does make those dresses look utterly irresistable! *uncontrollable drooling*:wub::wub:

Omg I only just realized if I click on the images I can make them bigger!:lol:

Do they actually showcase their clothes on the runway? Did they ever? Or does the house not believe in runway presentations?

In my opinion, I think not showing on the runway does put the house in a disadvantage.

Additionally, I would also say a fair few unfriendly sales staff would be the cause of not recognising the creativity rising from the house. Friendly nice things are easily forgotten, yet it is often those unfriendly events which is permanently etched into memories and become unforgettable.

Have to put in my two cents... LOVE the splash of color... and I'm not a color girl...
