I agree Lena...too many tangents; it's hard to see a flow within the pieces, I do quite like the second picture with the guy in the green coat...quite geeky and sweet.
It is busy indeed but it's Etro after all, they have carved out a niche market and stuck to it quite well season after season...like Missoni it's not my look, but I think their customer will dig this.
I actually think textures and prints will be with us, and Etro should be in a good position with thei rbackground and all that, but this is a disaster. Maybe they might have better pieces in the rest of the collkection.
I know a guy who buys close-out factory bales of silk necktie material - small retro prints, quirky motifs, stripes - and making some really cool shirts out of these and it works. Etro just blew it...this is all wrong. I think this "dandy" direction for men's fashion is doing a lot of unintended "damage"..., it makes designers send ridiculous looking ensembles down the runway.
