John Galliano Mens F/W 06.07 Paris

In my oppion it looks like crap! Just horrible sh*t basicaly! This is not fashion. I mean I have nothing good to say about this collection it's total trash even in galliano level!

This is exactly the sort of utter shite that makes me embarassed to be intertested in fashion.

There are some very nice and approachable looks in this collection. But there are some horrible, fluorescent, eye killing looks that destroy it. Big letdown compared to last season.

Galliano rocks!!!
but isnt it obvious that some of his ideas are coming from too much heroine....or maybe its nothing but his imagination...nevertheless he did this one different and still i love it, although my favourite so far remains SS 2006, which is neatly folded'n'waiting in my wardrobe)))

and don't forget - Galliano is about Freaks, Maniacs and Fashionistas combined....not everyone can really understand that..only the chosen ones...
in fact DG, Cavalli etc etc suck too much. This is the way to be the one and only. DIFFERENT. INSIDE & OUTSIDE.

Actually, Galliano is all about selling panties, tshirts and socks with the gazette pattern on it - it is always exactly half the stock in stores...

BTW, people, I wonder if those socks-cum-scarfs come with the smell already... for the full effect, you know...

^ knowing Galliano,I probably wouldn't doubt it.

You mentioning about all that being half the stock....I'm just wondering,is there any shop that actually buys more volume of the actual collections than the novelty crap(though one would argue that would be Galliano's work as a whole..hehe)? I dunno why,but the only shop I ever hear that stocks only the collections is Maria Luisa...are there any others out there??

There are occasional pieces, but they are usually very difficult. This season about 70% of the stock I've seen so far are jeans, tshirts, and undies at Saks, Bergdorf, and Jeffrey. I can't believe BG carries him - that store has absolutely no direction in "designer" menswear, just like Saks.

I was in the Galliano boutique a few months back and it wasn't all that bad actually. There was one rack for all the logoed and gazette stuff ann all for Homme and the rest was coats and trousers etc. Withouth gazette print mind you. As for the womens, I barely saw a gazette print actually...wait some bra's had them. That's it I think.

i would absolutely hate to be one of the "chosen ones"....it doesn't take a great mind to stick this garbage together...it's like he's not out of his danceteria-boy-in-thongs stage yet:doh:

the only good thing about this collection....is the bodies on those models.

He is carving out his niche as an alternative to Dolce and Gabanna and Dsquared. Of the three I like this the best, it's fun and oddly enjoyable. The blatant commercialsim can be suspended at least for a moment and soak in some eye candy.

It's like some kind of scary triangle. Dsquared is sex in public toilets. Dolce & Gabbana al fresco (Brokeback mountain stylee). Galliano, in da club.

but aren't those the best kind?

  i think that´s the best way to aproach this collection, with humour!

Love the collection...lot of old english storytelling and modern day dance music references. Check this out galliano made reference to the gorillaz.
