I heard them on the radio this morning! she was pretty funny, but won't talk about her private life, which i respect. she also said she made a deal with her publicist that she'll only go to one non Lost related event a year-- like all those LA and Hollywood things, because she's a tomboy and she hates all that. I find that a bit contradicting- if you hate being dressed up and all that public image thing, then don't be an actress.. publicity is part of the job as much as acting is.

^ I don't see why she has to attend events she doesn't want to attend if she is getting the roles she wants without having to show her face everywhere.

But sometimes she does seem a bit contradicting to me when she talks about how she doesn't like being famous.

I don't think it's contradicting. She apparently said non Lost related events. She has said she likes attending the award shows for Lost, but very rarely does she attend events that have nothing to do with the show. She doesn't do premieres or hang out at club/restaurant openings, etc. I think the only non Lost event she has done in the past year was a Chanel dinner. She's not Paris Hilton or Eva Longoria, both of whom put their face out there at every event possible. That stuff screams desperation.

I love Evi. She is my favorite actress. But I don't feel that sympathetic to her when she complains about fans and paparazzi ruining her privacy. That is just a toll that any actress has to pay. It would be nice if that didn't happen but it does.
