or strictly everything could be undivided or mutual.
the enviroment he creates might be like some kind of commune, and sometimes commune of art.
he wouldn't possess talents assembling there.
people are free to seize something there and make their own way.
but the relationship is not one-way.
without Luca, he would never have had such knitwear in the collection.
without Amadei, Sartoria etc would not have materialized.
and both LUC and ma+ certainly carry the genetic code from him, Luca and Amadei sublimating it.

he is calling his recent project Evoluzione.
and was supposed to be in charge of a class at MSA in the name of Evoluzione earlier this year.
but apparently the class was postponed due to some technical problems.
the program seems to be open to 16 students,btw.

EVOLUZIONE for MSA^


The past echoes the future.
A form defines its shadow.
We hold memory.

We are existing in a world that is predefined by the people that came before us,
living with the choices made by the minds of history. The story behind us has
been told, the one before us inconclusive. We hang in equilibrium, as
individuals and as a society. To regress or to progress.





OBJECTIVE

We wish to utilize this rare opportunity to meet with a innovative community of
artist, within a learning environment without history, as our first outward
approach to evoluzione. This is an opportunity to broaden our contact with not
only 12 individuals, but also to observe an individual group of people with a
common interest. This opportunity however, is not just to communicate our
interpretation of evoluzione, but also to seek out other interpretations of this
concept.



COMMUNICATION

Our visit to the Mountain Art School would be to hold a six-week session at the
school on the topic of Evoluzione. We will present a prototype based on our
interpretation from our previous communications with MSA, and outline our
objectives for the time we are there.



THE PROTOTYPE

This protoype that we are to make, ideally would be made on the measurements and
photographs of the students of the school. For the prototype a series of
photographs would be taken from different angles of each of the individuals.
These photographs would be layered on top of each other with the waist of each
being the anchored point. From this image we can then design two possibilities -
a flat form for the students to reproduce themselves and a three dimensional
prototype as a demonstration of our idea. On the prototype one of the added
components would be a inferiore (base)- a individual molded sole, able to be
attached to the main component at the lower extremities. One or two of these
would be made as a sample, relating to the design of the prototype.



THE UNIFORM AND FOOTWEAR

Due to the nature of evoluzione, we wish to provide the students with an
opportunity to make their own uniform using a design of the flat that we bring
with us. Outside the scheduled sessions, we will provide an alternative time for
the students to work with us to make their individual uniforms and inferiore
from the measurements we make in the first class.



CURRICULUM

Our objective within the project is to influence the minds of these individuals
as little as possible. We are seeking less to teach, and more to observe this
group in the way they relate to each other and to the concept.

Runner, do you have more information on this installation by Altieri?

As I'm in Berlin, it'd be lovely to learn more about stuff he's done around here and maybe see that piece!

he seems to be beyond anyone's control.




Chinor1Z, it was held there in 2005 as part of "Batch project".
the fabric was applied to t-shirts.
the sun-developed t-shirts were to come out priced at 100-150$ around the beginning of 2006.
but it was not put into practice after all.
and afterwards lumen et umbra by Issei took over the spirit of it.
so now you can see it in some of lumen stuff.
Issei is a photographer as well.
