Yeah, but being a newface arranged exclusively for a show like Marc Jacobs (He/Lee book like 30 newfaces every season) is really not significant.... I mean, even some girls who featured in his SS11 campaign have hardly kept afloat in NY this season.... Walking 2 or 3 decent shows like Prozena, Rodarte and Thakoon makes more sense than being a MJ runway excl and I do think that European and especially Parisian clients do care less and less for all the exclusive hype from NY...

Julia wouldn't have done NY but Tara surely would have.

The price of an exclusive depends mostly on how many days they worked doing looks and fittings for the client. To my knowledge, an exclusive can range in rate from $10,000 to $30,000. Essentially the client has to pay for the days the model cannot see other clients-- hence the "exclusive." Some brands which are notorious for launching a models career (ie: Prada) will pay significantly less, whereas Calvin Klein will pay a more considerable amount to have a fit model for the the week leading up to the show.

I have a question. How long does it take for a model to receive the payment for being an exclusive? I read somewhere that is not immediate... and the agency takes a big part of the payment...

Well, a new girl will most definitely not receive a penny from a runway exclusive as agency comission (both, motheragency + the main market representation), taxes and additional expenses (appartment, flight etc) will be deducted from the sum. In most cases, there doesn't remain anything.... I don't know how long it takes, I'd say two-three months?
