Eye Lash Growth

^^ I think I'm gonna try Revitalash. It's gotten really great reviews on Makeup Alley, you should do some research on it!

I read a lot about revitalash, want to give it a try

but... where can I buy it?

I live in Europe and don't trust ebay that much

^ Salons carry it. Just call around, you should be able to find a place.

My lashes are so non-existent I think I'm going to get eyelash implants over the summer where they transplant hair from the back of your scalp to your lashline.

I have the same dilemma. But how much does the procedure cost?

thanks, I'm gathering information

if not I can always order from drugstore, they also have it and ship it to Europe

I know in the states the average is about $6000USD but I'm going to Korea this summer so I'm going to shop around for prices there. And its much more common there so it's a lot cheaper. I see you're in the Philippines because if you're interested in traveling, I've heard a lot of good things about plastic surgery/eyelash implants in Taiwan.

i bought the peter thomas roth stuff in october and the tube is still being used, its made my lashes longer and thicker, especially my lower lashes, but i still want them longer so im trying to find out where i can get that gluacoma thing.

went to 3 salons, none of them had it, so I ordered it from salonskincare from uk - 111euro including shipping so quite ok :) am really anxious to try it out!

^ Let us know how it works for you! :) I think I'll definitely try it.

You may want to try the Latisse first. I heard that the eyelash transplant uses like you said, hair from your scalp and that it grows in like hair from the back of you scalp, so you may have to cut it:shock:

I received my revitalash, will begin with it this evening

it says you should apply it as eyeliner on your upper eyelashes, but I've read some people also do it with their eyelashes underneath their eyes??

Valkyrie,
I received Revitalash 9 days ago and started using it on both my lower and upper. Haven't noticed anything yet, but it sucks using it during that "emotional" phase of the month. I no matter how upset I've gotten I refuse to cry after putting on my Revitalash least I stunt or ruin the results. Do let us know how you fair with it and I'll be sure to update should I see any progress.

it's not that easy to apply indeed, I think yesterday I did it a bit too high, I don't apply eyeliner any time because I'm not good at it but I think if I apply it too low it would go in my eye?

well, the brochure says to be patient so a week is nothing, after 4-6weeks you see results :)

I heard Lumigan and Latisse are the EXACT same thing, but that Latisse is being marketed as eyelash growth and Lumigan is for people with glaucoma.

So, if you use Lumigan, you can put a little on your eyelashes.

As far as I understand they are the same ingredient, but latisse has a little bit less of it.

I thought that at first too, and that could be true, but according to an article I read, they both say bimatoprost 0.03%. So, that would mean it's literally the same. I would assume that there are extra things in Latisse (maybe like conditioners, etc.) to make it more nourishing for the eyelashes.

http://cosmetic-eyes.com/Eyelash-Enhancement.html

An Excerpt: The glaucoma medicine, Lumigan, is being renamed and repackaged as Latisse, to specifically grow eyelashes. Lumigan and Latisse are the same medication. That active ingredient is something called bimatoprost. Used for glaucoma, it's dropped into the eye to lower pressure. For lashes, the drops are dabbed on the top of lashes like eyeliner. In order to get FDA approval, Latisse had to be specifically tested to prove it safely grows lashes.

Question: Can I also use the regular Bimatoprost 0.03% instead of Latisse?
What is the difference between Latisse and Bimatoprost 0.03%. Can I use Bimatoprost 0.03% from Allergan instead of Latisse? (It is much cheaper and costs in India from Allergan around 15 US$). Has Bimatoprost (although I know that Latisse consists Bimatoprost) more side effects? Thanks.

Answer:
Latisse and Lumigan are the same medication in different bottles so they will have the same effect. Having said that,if you are in the United States, especially, I caution you from asking your doctor for a prescription for Lumigan, though, if you do not have glaucoma. If you are trying to get your insurance to pay for your eyelash treatments, this is a bad idea as your insurance records will be flagged as you having glaucoma treatments. It might make it difficult for you to get insurance in the future, as the glaucoma could be considered a pre-existing condition if you are changing health insurance (or applying for life insurance).

Yea, I knew that before but now I'm really thinking about it, and I realized that I don't think I'll have the desire to trim my eyelashes when I'm 80. So I got my hands on some Lumigan, hope it lives up to its hype!
