Eyelash Extentions

Eyelash extensions are quite great, if done by a skilled technician...Im currently in training for this procedure, w/ a new spa set to open soon and I havent had any bad luck yet...Ive also had them applied, and no bad luck there as well...If they're damaging the shape of your eyelash, I wanna say that's due to poor technique on behalf of the person who applied them.. Hopefully that wont be me though..God willing..

In the March issue of Elle on page 324 there is small article on mascara and eyelashes, There is a paragraph regarding eyelash extensions and lash loss.

I have possibly the longest thickest eyelashes in the world BUT I want them like the French (y?) girl in the Bourjois advert. You know this one:

I need them all curled and French and curtain-esque. Any tips? I don't want to use false eyelashes. The more permanent the better.

I was working in Benefit during my Christmas vacation and I was making over a girl who had just has some false eylashes put on at Pout which lasted her three weeks. She said the last time she had them on, the even went on holiday in them. They were amazing -does anyone know anything about what this is?

sandrac, you had yours for 4 months staight? the woman im going to get mine with told me 2-4 weeks max, so maybe thats why your eyelashes got damaged because it was on there for too long?

so i just did mine, she told me to come back anytime from 2-4 wweeks to have them removed, or earlier if some fell out, she also told me i cant wear mascara, i thought that was weird, cant u wear mascara with fake eyelashes.?

Eyelash Extensions

Just wondering if anyone knows of a good place to get eyelash extensions in LA? (But without paying Kate Somerville prices.) Even something in Ktown is fine too. TIA!!!

Well, the whole point of lash extensions is to eliminate the need for mascara, but if you must, yeah, you can wear mascara w/ eyelash extensions, but it has to be oil-free (the oils in mascara will loosen the adhesive & cause the extensions to fall out..If youre using mascara, make sure it's water-based (sorry, even though I do them, Im still not sure which mascaras out there are water-based)..

I have eyelash extensions, and because they're so thick, there is no reason to use mascara. My eyelashes look like they have mascara on them already.

Hi again, I finally got my eyelash extensions! I read about some horror stories but I have also heard a lot of good stories so I gave them a try and I love them. And with mine, I can wear mascara but I don't need to. It's great.

I'm really happy with them and love that I don't have to worry about mascara...they are very natural looking too! And no, it doesn't hurt at all and you can't tell that you have them on, unlike some false lashes. It was actually a very relaxing experience.
