Apologies if a thread similar to this has already been made but I couldnt find it!

Anyway, I'm thinking of getting my eyelashes permed, theyre really long, but straight.. and curling them takes too long because of the length.

Has anyone got theirs permed before? What was it like? How long did it take?

Thanx in advance

...I've heard about it, but I am waaay to scared to even try. I guess I'm extremely paranoid that my lashes will start falling out, due to the damage from the perming chemicals.

Yeh I know! That's what's stopping me from rushing straight to a beauty salon to get it done .. I don't know what i'd do if all my eyelashes fell out

i got it done a couple times...my lashes werent damaged at all...
i think the whole process took about 20 minutes..
the perm wears off after a month or two though..

Just a little tip in case, whatever you do, don't do it yourself, you could turn blind....

But for eyelashes, why don't you just use a mascara to darken them in brown, blue or red or black or green? Because it's much more convenient????!

Thats the thing, my eyelashes are already really dark too, I only use mascara to hold the curl after I've used curlers.. so if i get them permed, I dont have to do anything, now thats what I call convenient!

.. and yes, I definitely won't be doing it myself .. you can't even get diy eyelash perming kits anyway.. can you? .. I'm sure your eyes need to be closed when you're doing it.

Ive had it done it was quick painfree and effective, I had myn coloured as well and the whole process took about 45 mins so i would imagine that the perm only would be about25 mins

Ok I feel much more confident in getting it done now, thanx for the reply guys :) ..and anymore are appreciated.

I personally don't think it does.. I guess it depends on how reputable the place you get it done is which will then of course dictate how much it'll cost.

As a male, I find that having ridiculously long eyelashes is kind of a hinder. Is there any place that specializes in eyelash trimming

Dont cut them theyll grow back longer. I used to have short eyelashes so someone said to me trim the ends theyll grow back longer and they did. SO by cuting them you be worsening the problem rather then solving it. If that makes any sense lol

Wow cutting eyelashes actually makes them grow back longer?! Oh and well i would like my eyebrows dyed but im unsure of any colours,i'm blonde and my eyebrows are fair yet i want them darker...Any suggestions?

just don't do it yourself (a lot of people have hurt their eyes doing it). oh, and don't cut off your eyelashes either.

I don't see how people can dye their own eyebrows .. I mean.. there's such a high possibility of both eyebrows coming out in a different shade to one another lol

I know what you mean tiamaria.. but it doesnt apply for everyone!! I used to know this girl who never got on with her sister, so one night, her sister cut off her eyelashes while she was sleeping and they've never grown back! .. well maybe its because the tips werent cut off.

But I've seen evidence of your theory on my then 5 yr old sister who cut her eyelashes (soo dangerous!) but they grew back longer.

In reference to secondly's comment.. men with long eyelashes look beautiful :)

Agreed! My bf has very long eyelashes and they look gorgeous,i'm jealous! No no no i wasn't going to go cutting my eyelashes, knowing my luck they'd never grow back! And as for dying my own eyebrows, they'd end up green or maybe pink depending on what i did wrong that time lol!

Anyone know where in London you can get your eyelash permed, i would prefer to go somewhere by recommendation.

I had the perm thing done once - but the effect was nothing more than an eyelash curler doesn´t do and also it lasts for a very short time.

I had it done in a Lancome salon, but frankly the procedure and chemicals are always the same, so it doesn´t really matter where you go.
And they pretty much do the procedure everywhere.
