^actually quite like the Urban Decay liquid eyeliners. The brush is great and it doesn't get clumpy at all. I've been using their liner for a while now. I never tried the MUFE, so I couldn't tell you if that's better. As for pencil liner, esp. in black, i love love YSL.

Thanks!! Mmmhhh, now I am seriously considering a YSL liner in black. I love black eyeliner, the darker the better!

I am using the Urban Decay Zero pencil for a black eyeliner. I love Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner.

I've just found my eyeliner heaven. I usually use Mac Fluidline, but today I bought Laura Mercier black cake eyeliner. You just wet your brush and it makes an easy to use, pitch black and stayfast dream of a liner. So happy with it!

ANY RECOMMENDATIONS? - I am trying to find a kohl liner that smudges well initially but then sets and won't smudge (much) throughout the day.... ? any ideas would be great

The best eye-liner I have ever purchased is by NYC color and it is dirt cheap. It last all day without smudging. Hard Candy's Glitter Eye Pencils are not so good, the glitter gets all over your face by the end of the day. Not a very good look

My question is, what is the best liquid liner?

mac eyeliners do it for me but according to this month's sure magazine(korean), they did a makeup test for some eyeliners including mac and guerlain's eye pencils topped them all. i'm going to have to test them out myself.

any opinions on lining so-called bedroom eyes? where the whites of the eyes show below the iris? eyeliner never seems to look the same on me as other people, especially when lining the lower lid.

you like the look of her eyes or the eyeliner? haha. yeah it might be that I just need to use a softer smudgier approach on the bottom. a clean line generally looks really harsh and weird.

I have Dior waterproof eyeliner pencil and I'm using it over Urban Decay's eyemakup primer -- I'm still finding though a but of smudge below my eyes later on in the day. I'm already using waterproof mascara has anyone else used the waterproof Dior eyeliner and had any smudging? (or this traveling to the lower lid throughout the day) maybe there's a trick I can use, thanks.

Is there REALLY a big difference between drugstore eyeliners and department store? I always have a hard time deciding if there is... It does depend on the eyeliner form (pencil, gel, liquid), but overall... I can just never decide.

No, especially with pencil. You just have to find the right brands for pencils that aren't too soft or hard, liquidliners with a good brush, and use a decent brush for gel liner. Eyeliner is one of those items that I don't think is dependent on being expensive in order to be high quality.

does anyone have tips how to make kohl stay on longer and prevent it from smudging? i don't like liquid eyeliner and prefer khol, but it annoys me that at the end of the day i look all smudged and like a rakoon lol

for long lasting kohl try Laura Mercier Caviar Eye Liner. it doesnt move! ive never been able to get a eyeliner on top of my eye to keep from creasing and this stuff really works. i always use a mac eye base, then the caviar eye liner and then a mac shadow on top.
