Eyeliner

Ive bought one from my local drugstore for about 2 dlls and i loove the brush, its long, thin and very flexible, it makes it really easy to apply and gives good definition to long thin lines. And it doesnt itch even with contacs on.

anyone have any positive experiences with Urban Decay's Primer Potion under eyeliner?
thanks ^_^

Yes - I swear by UDPP ever since I discovered it. It makes anything last longer - shadow, pencil, liquid liner, cream/gel liner, ect.

Speaking of cream liner, Walgreens is having a buy one get one for all L'oreal HIP products, and I bought their creamliner in Teal and Brown, and OMG - the staying power is amazing. It's the first liner of any type that's lasted more than two hours on my waterline. It lasted all day in fact, and there was a bit left even after I removed my eyemakeup with makeup remover and took a shower. I'm in love with this stuff - will probably go get the black soon as well.

I have to recommend Guerlains powder kohl, it doesn't budge one bit, all night, no matter what you do. Also, for gel eyeliners, I have tried lots, and bobbi brown is the best by miles.

Does anyone know of a good grey kohl pencil? I used to have MAC Slate but I found that a touch too dark and I cannot seem to find a medium grey pencil in NARS, MAC, Bobbi Brown etc.

.

am loving bobbi brown's gel liner, but all color seems black on me!!!!! any idea how to make them *ahem* colorful?

im looking for a good intense (thin) black eyeliner.
i wanna try liquid but it has to be waterproof.

my sisters use MAC Smolder eye kohl and MAC Blacktrack fluidline, they are intense but not quite the finish im looking for. a bit more shiny?

Well, in the budget line of make up, using L'oreal super liner is probably your best bet. It's got a sheen to it, but it's also deep deep carbon black. It looks very catwalk 09 actually, very graphic.

And to the person asking about the Mac Penultimate, it's brilliant, get it, it's the only liner i've ever used where you can get that deep black without shine but not too matte, and a very thin line that is easy to operate. Go for it before it sells out!

^ thank you Mindbear!

i decided to try out Maybelline Ultra Liner waterproof in Black

i love it. it was soo easy to use both on upper and lower lash line. it has a nice sheen to it as well and the tube provides a fair amount of product.

Maybelline

Thanks, especially for the L'oreal tip. That's exactly the type of liner I've been looking for.

The MAC Penultimate liner is actually a permanent one, but figure it might sell out at first as it is a new product.

I use L'oreal's Telescopic eyeliner... it's one of my favorites, as far as drugstore brands go.

there is this new eye liner called cat eyes...the tip of it is sorta diagonal...and its perfect to creat the catty eye sorta look...it doesnt break through or anything...i think its from Beauty Pop...i had one in black and my sister stole it from me, i went back to order it and it was sold out in black:( but then i came across another site and i ordered it, so i am waiting for it to arrive its soo good! if anyone is interested or curious about it here is the link http://www.popbeauty.co.uk/Popbeauty_Products/Eyes/Cat_Eyes/Index.html

I'm new to the makeup game, and have been experimenting with whatever random makeup i have. I want to try a smoke eye but am not sure how to go about it . What is a good , not super $$ heavy dark eyeliner pencil ? and what are the basic rules for applying eye shadow [ in general and for smokey ] . Thanx!

Well, I think MAC is probably the most reasonably priced for the quality and their 'Smolder' kohl is very popular. I have it, it is very smudgy which is good for a smokey eye but some people hate it for that very reason

.

^ i just bought MAC Smolder! mainly for upper waterline and as a 'base line' for my liquid liners to follow. & i also got MAC Liquidlast in Electrolady, dark purple!

Any suggestions of a good long-lasting kohl eyeliner? The Chanel one I'm using smudges so easily, and not in a good way. It's also hard to stop it from melting in the Aussie summer heat
