I'm a big Primer Potion junkie. I first tried it in one of the Urban Decay kits (most all the eyeshadow kits come with the Primer Potion) and I love it: I love glittery eyeshadows but Midnight Cowboy Rides Again is just asking to fall off my eyelid without it but with it, I can have minimal shedding. I actually find that it works great for bringing out the colours, but that's just me and my limited experience.
I have super oily eyelids and the best thing I've ever used is Benefit Lemon Aid. Not exactly an eyeshadow primer but it works wonders! I worked as an SA at a beauty store and whenever clients came in looking for a primer I would sell them that. A couple of they came in telling how great it was for them. It brightens up the colour and after a night of clubbing, the colour is still there. I love and live by it
So after trying the UDPP a few times, I finally got how much I should be putting on right I think at first I was having a hard time with it was b/c I was putting on a bit too much. A little goes a long way!
I've been using Bigelow's cold cream to talk off my eye make up. I find that once I've wiped most of it off, it works nicely to hold eye make up in place.
But if your skin doesn't receive cold cream well, this would not be the technique for you...
I also use MAC Prep and Prime. I use it all over my face so I figure I might as well use the same thing on my eyelids instead of a separate product. It works great for me.
i like the idea of loose powder over the concealor! i usually use udpp, but i won a basket full of marykay at a baby shower and it had primer in it, and i gotta say.. it's really nice! and i have ultra greasy eyelids!
Unlike most of you, I have really try lids + skin. I'm looking for a recommendation on a primer for the eyes + under eye area that will not absorb the skins moisture. I'd like something creamy that doesn't leave the skin stiff and dry.
I put it under my eyes and it doesn't give me wrinkles. I just use a little bit and dab it under my lower lash line - it's great, with UDPP I can then use any shadow as a liner under the lower lashes and it doesn't budge all day.
