Eyeshadow Bases & Primers

there's a brand called Artdeco in Austria and Germany, they produce a good eyeshadow base, but it contains mineral oil...

I'll try MAC Paints in Bare Canvas since many makeupaddicts swear by it

urban decay primer potion!!!!
you use VERY little of it though! works wonders.

Does anyone know if Benefit Shelaq is any good? It says it's supposed to waterproof and smudge-proof eyemake-up. Is that true?

i second this one. It made my eyeshadow stay all day and actually intensified the color. And i agree, a little goes a long way.

yep its great as long as you let it dry properly

Best Eye Shadow Primer

What's yours? Right now I'm using Toni and Tina and I want something with more hold.

I just got MAC Prep + Prime today. It really worked well..

MAc Paints in Bare Canvas or Untitled are wonderful. It´s the only thing that keeps my eyeshadows right on my super oily eyelids.

oh really? I will give it a try. I reallieeee like the MAC Paint in Structural Brown

MAC Paints (I have it in Stillife) work well and last forever.

Also, if I'll be wearing the make up for a longer period of time, I sometimes use Loreal's De-Crease as a base to prevent creasing.

Artdeco eye makeup base is the best primer ever! It's cheap and so effective (my eyelids are oily and it keeps my eyeshadow in place for 10+ hours)!

urban decay primer potion. makes shadow cresless forever
mac paints and shadesticks make shadows show up better

I just got Benefits F.Y Eye today. The SA said that it worked well for oily skin. So it's a must try. I've tried everything else thats a primer and the only thing that worked for me was Benefit Shelaq on setting it, but that I find is better for night usage.

I want an unfussy primer though for daily use. Any more recommendations? I've tried MAC paints, tried the MAC primer, paula dorf, laura mercier, smashbox and want something with more lasting power.

To make my eyeshadow (and i use cheap eyeshadow :T) stay i use chapstick all around the eye area or where you are applying the shadow...also i heard vaseline works but not TOO much of either one! and if you want your eyeshadow to look darker or deeper I dip my brush in some good ol' H2O (a.k.a water!)

I use MAC Paint in Bare Canvas with a shadestick on top depending on what color eyeshadow I'm wearing (Sea Me for blue looks, Beige-ing for neutrals, etc). My eyeshadow never fades with this combo. UD Primer Potion is pretty good too.

I use Malu Wilz Eyeshadow Base and it stays on like forever! Got it from Ebay, so I don´t really know where else you can buy it.
