I really hope that Sasha gets Miu Miu, even if it was a bad collection. Really curious about how Linda + Prada comes out.. :innocent::unsure:

^^ Agreed, kimair. Linda does fit the collection. I always thought it looked kind of...matronly :innocent:

^^^Yes, I'm kind of curious how it will turn out with the "mature" model wearing Prada's grandmother's lace curtains and table cloths. (<insert your favourite deity here> bless photoshop, I guess?)

I'm less down about Sasha losing Prada (I think it was about time too) than about the fact that she doesn't seem to have anything else:doh:. Maybe the Armani make-up campaign, still? (Woo woo.)

I wonder if Sasha is just taking some time off to enjoy her art, her marriage, her life. She's been a top model for so long, maybe she just wants some time to be Sasha! I just hope Miucca hasn't... left her! :O

Shock!

I thought Natalia Chabanenko would get the Prada campaign. She really suits the granny collection. What's wrong with Miuccia?!

No way! If Sasha had to leave Prada? I'm glad it went to someone iconic. Sasha had to be in the ads to transition it to a new girl or I think it'd have fallen flat. I don't even like Sasha much, but her and Prada go together so much at this point that imaging the brand without her is just painful!

I still fail to see why that collection was so grannylike. Just because it's all lace and lots of under the knee hems doesn't make it granny. I think it's at times pretty provocative and that is why I like that Linda is doing these ads. I wanna see her in this carrying a whip or something

^^Hah, you got me there! I guess I was thinking more of the first half of the collection. Though, I'm sure the more provocative pieces will be featured in the campaign

As much as I love Sasha for Prada (well so does the rest of the world), you have to admit out of all the models that could replace her, Linda is most probably the best choice out of all the supers.

I really can't wait to see the ads :woot:

Linda is definitely the best choice overall, imo. If Sasha has to go, she'll make an excellent transition.

F/W '08 - '09 will be remembered as the return of the supers.

And the end of one of the greatest ad campaign relationships ever :(

Linda for Prada has been confirmed;

Unfortunate final decision...:( But Linda is Linda, I guess. The collection will no doubt fit her better than certain others.

I don't believe Sasha was considered in the first place, actually. SS08 was positioned to be the last for her -- and she went out with a fantastic campaign. Nothing to be disappointed about! ^_^

Well I guess I just don't see how the sexiness will translate into real life when all the bits of butt and boob hanging out will be covered by conservative slips and under shirts. I guess it could still work? Arms will still be able to be exposed. Maybe some chest area although who's gonna wear that to...well wherever such outfits will be worn.

I have no imagination, I guess.:p (And getting OT so this will be my last contribution on that matter:D.)

Prada without Sasha will be strange, but it is really time for a change. By the way, I do not understand the gloating on the part of some posters (hah hah, Sasha has nothing!) It's just so.... I don't know, venomous.

Linda is an understandable decision. Personally, I would prefer a Lolita-type (Chabanenko) to a sexpot type like Linda. Raw sexuality would give the clothing an edge, add real sexiness... Linda is gorgeous and all, but IMO a bit matronly.

I hope model(s) get the Miu Miu campaign. (Preferably Chabanenko and Forizs :p )

Sad.It's hard to picture anyone in the Prada campaign aside from Sasha. For me it won't be the same, I never really was a fan of Linda.

I agree with you. You can't reign forever, might as well leave with something good instead of something lousy. :) She did a good job representing the company.
