i quite like the Cavalli ads with Isabeli and Raquel...better than those tacky ones with Kate Moss

I was looking forward to seeing Raquel in Cavalli, but I guess in his case nothing helps...

Quick, get the nail file out!
A new generation of catwalk scraps is about to erupt after 'next big thing' and new face of Burberry, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, slammed her predecessor, Agyness Deyn, for snubbing her.

Last month Metro.co.uk revealed how young star Rosie, 21, toppled her former friend's reign as the face of Burberry after just one season. Insiders revealed Deyn 'the new Kate Moss' was replaced because she had over exposed herself with publicity.

Now Rosie is showing little sympathy for her former elfin friend, who she says blanked her for six months when she first hit the headlines. 'Agyness was really sweet and we used to hang out all the time. But when she became big she dropped me.'

'I tried being her friend and texted her repeatedly for six months but she never replied so I just gave up. So good luck to her. I haven't seen her', she told Metro at a party this week.

The Devon beauty, also a D&G underwear model says she's already shot the new season for Burberry. 'It was really cool and very exciting to do. That was a big thing.'

She confirmed the whispers that Deyn, 26, had out done herself by over publicising her image, saying, 'Personally I think Agy's look is a one-off season look but she has been so publicised and has such a big profile she'll probably make it in the long term now, I guess.'

The brunette then played down her own hype as the next big thing, saying 'I don't even know that would means.'

'Right now I am just happy focusing on my projects and campaigns. But I am up for anything', she says. Watch this space guys. Agy if you want to give us a call with your side, you know the number!

Not digging the back and forth bashing at all....very nineties...

I can't imagine Rosie talking like that to a journalist (or any random person at a party). Publically bashing Agyness would be such a daft and unprofessional thing to do. And they made her sound so terribly bitter.

do you guys thing Vanessa Paradis will have her own initials on MiuMiu clothes ;) ...

Rosie gets Burberry and immediately she's the next big thing? Please. She'll do Burberry a few seasons and that's all. Soon Christopher will find a new victim and she'll fade away and do only VS.

I guess this could be from Sofia Coppola in LV ads shoot this fall. From i_heart_sofia via Thew.

^ I love the idea, the light and the setting. Thanks for the post Annu!

thanks for the LV ad. Looks good :) :flower:

from fashionweekdaily...

Oscar de la Renta is unarguably classic--but he's not afraid to take a calculated risk. His brand is upsetting its competition by running, for the first time ever, its fall campaign a month early in the July issue of Vogue.

On Thursday, Alex Bolen, president and chief executive officer of Oscar de la Renta, revealed to Fashion Week Daily that the iconic American fashion house decided to run its highly-anticipated fall ad campaign, shot by Craig McDean, in the July issue of Vogue, out in two weeks time. "We have delivered at least of 85 percent of our pre-fall collection, and within we will have delivered a major portion of the runway collection," Bolen explained, adding that the company has had a longstanding relationship with Vogue and its editor in chief, Anna Wintour.

A front-of-book spread was purchased for the July issue of Vogue. In August, Town & Country and W will pick up the company's ads in addition. Bolen declined to provide ad rates with Vogue as part of this new deal, but he didn't expect Oscar de la Renta's fall ads to remain in Vogue beyond the October issue.
