Fairy-tales

I love this thread so much too. I just saw the play into the woods, which inspired me a lot...all those fairy tales rolled into one!

also, this whole theme just seems so appropriate in light of the release of narnia.

utopia great pictures:flower:

Loving this trend!!

speaking of fairy-tales..

We were having a similar conversation in the vogue forum.

maybe we can combine these things..
lets get one more fairytale and we'll call it a trend.

Today I saw "the Brothers Grimm" movie and I was utterly and madly in love .... the "Little red riding hood" sequence is to die for!

Hum ... I've always loved short stories ... children stories ... Charles Perrault's ones with Gustav Dore's engravings are masterpieces. (Shud I credit the images? They're not copyrighted cuz they're way too old)

I haven't checked this thread in a while but.. ultra*,love BlueBeard!! But LRRH will always be my favourite somehow. I saw Bros. Grimm too....probably the only good things about that film were the scenario's with red riding hood and Hansel & Gretel. The landscape in correlation with the characters were beautifully done. Too bad that was all. Otherwise,I think it was a bit lacklustre as a whole. I actually just ordered "The Company of Wolves" btw,as the screen caps that were posted earlier in the thread really took me. I hope it's good. I also got the one I mentioned too...Snow White: A Tale of Terror. Jennifer, beautiful images  Thank you!

^ "The Company of Wolves" is great.
I thoroughly enjoyed it and I hope you will too ^_^
Let me know what you think of it :flower:

I liked the idea behind "Snow White: A Tale of Terror", but I was kinda dissapointed .
I can't remember what I disliked about it (it's been a while), so...good luck with that one ;)

^great! You know,I only saw a few scenes of SW when it was on telly....I thought Sigourney Weaver was brilliant in some of them. Everything I read about it though said it was probably the closest adaptation of the original story than anybody's interpreted visually. So that persuaded me ;) I'll let you know definitely ^_^

I completely agree ... the movie ticket was totally worth for the Lil Red Riding hoog sequence ... beautiful!
