Okay guys, I'll do the rest later because that is such a BORING magazine and there are still so many things to mention  By the way, if the stylist(s) isn't (aren't) mentioned in my review it's because they're not mentioned in the magazine. ETA: Oh, I just found out the stylists are mentioned at the side of the page, right where it folds. Sorry, it's almost invisible.

Going though all this was such a bore. I honestly regret spending almost 40€ (shipping incl.) on that magazine and I'm seriously debating putting it up on eBay. I regret that there's not much diversity in it. It feels like you're looking at the same thing over and over. That being said, it's not surprising since Milan shot and styled 95% of the issue. It's nothing but one huge issue of L'Officiel Hommes to me... If you like Vukmirovic's work then it's highly probable that you will like this; but if you're expecting an interesting new fashion magazine for men, save your money.

Thank you for review Thefrenchy. :flower:

I'm curious about everything is Givenchy, "Fashion for Men now: Checks", "In My Calvins" , "So chic" and "Fashion for Men preview: Prints".

Milan really isn't making any statement with this magazine. Looking at the content, it's rather forgettable. He's not differentiating himself from other men's fashion magazine with Fashion For Men. Why would I want to read about lurex now when FW12 is looming? All the contents are just rehashed of what has been published a few months ago by other publications. I understand this is the first issue and it is bi-annual, but if you're not going to stay ahead, I see no purpose or have any interesting in reading about what has already been said.

I'm very selective when it comes to magazines, especially with men's fashion. This doesn't make me want to take out my wallet and get my hands on a copy.

The fact that Milan himself shot 90% of the contents, it shows the limited variety FFM has.

Thanks for the previews and review. The whole thing reeks of pretension and more of the same...and that's not what men's fashion needs...skipping...

well the sorry it doesn't really look convincing for me. and how much this cost?

yes, yes and yes, I couldn't have said this better myself, it's exactly my point of view on men's magazines and on this one too, but still I'm curious to discover the editorials.

*puts credit card back in wallet*

loool

Does Milan sleep with someone in particular?
Does he have FBI/CIA/Interpol files of everybody in Fashion Industry, so nobody can say "go to hell with your magazine!" ?????

I really don't understand how it is possible somebody let him publish that ....

The guy (and by guy I mean Vukmirovic) just has too much going on for his own good. He just wants to do too much in my opinion. It's not flattering and becomes a mess or a bore. His shots are typical, he's styling, co owns boutiques, editor for magazines, was creative director for a brand, etc. I just don't understand the purpose of doing so much. All these professions might be in the same industry, but they're all very different jobs. I don't believe anyone who tries to keep themselves this occupied really has time to devote to one trade and make it exceptional. I can't take anyone like this seriously.

I am glad I didn't make my order for it. Wonder if the next issue will be any better, doesn't seem like anyone cares for it too much already. It's only the first issue, but can't imagine he'll get or continue to get advertisers to help fund it. He used his resources to try and make this happen and it seems like it flopped. From what I saw, it makes me wonder how much effort and time he actually put into it. I feel like it was made on a deadline and was done just to get it done. I think he was expecting the public will just go with it and love it because a fancy brand name was slapped all over it and some cool models were staring into his lens.

sorry, rant over

Thanks Thefrenchy for the snaps!

Hate the cover. But I like the concept of someone's summation of a season in fashion. But to devote over 600 pages to only his vision does result in tedium. If he would edit that into 300 pages, that would flow so much better. And if he would share his vision to be interpreted by a few more people other than just himself, that would definitely make it more visually-appealing and add some dimension. A volume of work being produced in an extremely short period of time by one person is not going to result in too much variety, no matter how ambitious, devoted, or talented Milan may be. And I do think he's all those things.

Definitely looking forward to seeing the next issue.
