Jersey Girls

Paris Hilton and Tara Reid take the field at the grand opening of the new Hollywood It club Avalon, with bare bronze bellies poking out of football crop tops and hip bones jutting from down-to-there jeans. Paris scores the extra point for pigtails, just a hint of boy-cut briefs and a red, white and blue Lucky 7 mini bowling bag from sister Nicky's new line. (She does so design them herself!) Who wouldn't want these perennial party gals on their team?
speaking of paris hilton....check out her fanlisting here:

Superfriendly Skies

Twin-engine turboprop Rebecca Romijn-Stamos has us happily in a holding pattern at the 16th annual Conde Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards in New York. Her DKNY black 'n' white striped empire-waist silk dress with cap sleeves and flared hem, turquoise pointy pumps and simple straight hair earn major frequent flier points. And, hey, the fit proves her tray table is already in the upright and locked position!

Boot Campus

Chloë Sevigny goes to the head of the fashion class at the DKNY Vanity Fair "In Concert" benefit in New York. Her stylin' DKNY schoolgirl ruffled mini, classic one-button navy blazer and preppy button-down white shirt are perfect back-to-Vassar attire. Plus, she gets an A-plus for her brown ankle boots (with, brrrr, bare legs) and matching brown shoulder bag. Ms. Sevigny can copy our homework any day.

Frock Your Body

Lucy Liu glides into the Los Angeles premiere of Kill Bill. She goes positively Barbie in an Oscar de la Renta strapless black chiffon swoop number with satin sash, dangling chandelier earrings, a sleek side-parted 'do, delicate heels and a pink satin purse. "I just loved the design, and I felt beautiful in it," says Liu. Perhaps after all the movie's martial-arts mayhem, Miss Lucy wants to show off her kinder, gentler side. And after seeing how kick-*** she is in the film, we're inclined to agree...if she promises not to hurt us.

Thighs Matter

Uma Thurman definitely cuts it short at the Kill Bill premiere. She wears a crotch-high Luisa Beccaria pastel pink satin 'n'lace mini, dangling diamond earrings and shiny strappy heels that make her 10-miles-of-lean legs look simply never-ending. Newly separated from hubby Ethan Hawke, this stylish six-footer's surely looking haute to trot. Atta girl, Uma!

Kick It Up

Vivica A. Fox could pass for a high-stepping Vegas showgirl at the Los Angeles premiere of Kill Bill. Her hiked-up beaded black velvet and chiffon halter gown looks uncharacteristically bizarre. "I wanted to do the whole vixen thing," says Fox. The ensemble was designed by Elie Saab, the same dude who came up with Halle Berry's tasteful Oscar gown. Hey, you don't suppose this garish getup was one of Berry's rejects? Just a thought.

Friends in Deed

No, Jennifer Aniston did not send her stand-in to appear at the Kill Bill premiere. This Jennabe is musician Sheryl Crow doing her Friendly imitation in Anistonian worn 'n' torn flare jeans, a rock tee, pinstripe jacket with bell sleeves and a floppy newsboy cap over tousled blonde-highlighted hair. Just add the Brad Pitt look-alike, and Crow's got her Halloween outfit all sewn up!

Royal Family

The empire strikes a pose as Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas make a stately appearance at the Adopt a Minefield gala in Los Angeles. Empress Catherine governs with a firm hand in her sexy black Versace evening gown, the plunging bodice amusingly adorned with tuxedo trimming and lace corsetry. Douglas simply rules in a slim-cut Versace suit with a mauve tone-on-tone shirt and satin tie. Long live the king and queen!

Mad Hatter

Paula Abdul is up to her usual head games at the opening of the Donald J Pliner boutique in Beverly Hills. Just days after enduring scathing reviews for her Emmy tiara, Abdul tops her silk scarf top, oversized jacket, pegged black slacks, pumps and red purse with...a broad-brimmed felt fedora! To make matters worse, she actually poses holding the brim. Argh! Maybe that American Idol fame has gone to her noggin? 'Cause it sure hasn't gone to her closet.

Dramarama!

Drew Barrymore gets downright theatrical at the New York premiere of The Duplex. The actress enters stage right in a winter-white wool Chloé coat with a black-trimmed wide lapel, wide white Chloé slacks and vest, black Moschino blouse, black leather Gucci bag and black Yves St. Laurent pumps. It takes guts to wear an outfit this big, bold and brazen, but little Miss Barrymore pulls it off. We can't wait to see what she wears in the second act.

Blondie Ambition

Hilary Duff gets punk'd at Vanity Fair's Flick party at the Toronto Film Festival. Her hot pink satin mini, tight black tee with sheer mesh sleeves, wide cuff bracelet, long blonde fringe and dark sooty eyes make the all-American teen look like the love child of Deborah Harry and Tom Petty. Check out those wild graffiti-print stiletto boots with hacked-out heels. Now that's what we call a walk on the wild side.

Hang In There

Charlize Theron looks positively threadbare at the San Sebastian Film Festival. Her sheer black Christian Dior evening gown is decorated with blue and yellow satin butterflies at the hem, sure, but the sexy sheer bodice looks suspended by the most delicate straps we've ever seen. If she makes any sudden moves, that gorgeous getup is going down fast!

NYPD Boo

Britney Spears gets the boot in New York. At the Diesel Style Lab show, she tromps in wearing black leather waders under her snuggly short striped Diesel (duh!) off-the-shoulder sweater dress. The impatient audience loudly dissed the Pop Tart's late arrival, though, so maybe these boots weren't made for walkin' fast enough. Later, she bares her soul (and then some) at the Rolling Stone party, in a black lace mini and sexy high heels. Hey, it's way more grown-up than the pubescent panties she wears on the mag's cover. Frankly, it's high time Britney started dressing her age, not her little sister's.

Queen of the Darned

Mistress Gwyneth Paltrow vamps it way up at the Another Magazine dinner in New York. But her long-sleeve black satin mid-calf Gucci gown with black dominatrix-style strapped Gucci heels looks a tad too Transylvania. We just pray that neck band isn't hiding bite marks. Garlic, anyone?

Newlyshredded

Jessica Simpson gets beached at the Michael Kors fashion show of New York's spring designer collections. The reality starlet sports a stretchy side-cut striped cotton Kors sundress and tousled summer blond hair. But we think this busty bimbo look is better suited to a Brentwood pool party than Manhattan's snooty style scene. The Big Apple is nowhere near Surf City, baby. Jeez. Has she never watched Sex and the City?
