Fashion Stylists - Share Your Work, Give & Get Feedback

mishahoi, how can you say you're new at photography with beautiful photos like that? It makes amateurs like want to hide in that dark corner and cry for hours >.<

I assure I'm laughing my **** off now. I don't cry, I just drink and siliently sob myself to sleep.

But seriously, she's awesome.

ohhhhhhhh...... those aren't my photos, guys.... i was the stylist, but not the photographer... the pictures look so good because my photog did an AMAZING job... he's seriously going to be HUGE someday... i almost want to throw his name out because i truly believe he will be big... but unfortunately he left japan and only comes back to work with me on projects not as often as i'd like... but i will be sure to tell him what you guys think (because he is still amateur too...) ;)

aw, i don't amateur in any negative way... i mean in the technical sense of the word- of the amount of work one has done. don't get so down on yourself! it takes different times for people to each fall into their own groove and style :flower:~

Mishahoi - really nice work.. i like it alot. If you're ever in NYC we should colloborate together. :flower:

Hey guys,

I'm new here and verry impressed by the work some of you showed here! :woot:

Dress

Hey Adorevintage...

Nice work! Where did the dress in front of the "abacus" come from? I love it. Or is it a skirt?

Keep shooting! Who do you publish with?

That's a very good job adorevintage!!! What was the idea behind the photos? Love the abacus thing...Next time i'll post some of my work to so u can tell me what u think.I find that even though i have styled various different projects i still have a very definite trademark style which inclines towards casual chic.Do u have a particular style? Any clothing items f.e scarves, bags, big bracelets you always use?

Hey guys, I am still in school and i have a close friend who is a photography major so for all of her class projects, she shoots the pics and I style them. We just have to track down models and the theatre department lets us borrow from the costume shop.

I really love the process of coming up with a theme and then running with it. It is alot of fun and time consuming, but hopefully this practice will pay off someday.

Anyway these pics are very amatuer (is that how you spell amateur? who knows:blush: ) so dont judge too harschly.

My favorite shot from a recent story I styled for a magazine in Europe. This is the .jpg. The quality on the print is better.

^ wow, that is amazing. that is honestly one of the best photos/stylings i've seen in a while. the colors and lighting, the angles, everything. it's very delicate but also deliberate - does that make sense? you did a very good job with the styling, zrzava...i do all the styling for my photography, i wonder if i should post some of that stuff here too? it's already in the photo lookbook thread. anyway, great work. can we see more? also, is posing the model considered part of styling too?

zrzava very nice styling....more pics to share?

Other photos

Thanks for all the positive feedback!

I don't have anymore photos from that series but here are two others, one with the same model and one with a different one.

Transparent shirt by Czech designer Alice Abraham who has a shop in the south of France.

Photographer: Lucie Robinson
She is the one who handles the positioning of the models...consistantly amazing. I love to work with her.
