The characters from Enid Blyton's Faraway Tree spring to mind ... Moonface, The Whatsisname man with all the pots and pans ... and they were illustrated so beautifully that as a child they really feel like they are your friends.

i love the characters too!
my fave would have to be silky - the fairy...i thought it was so cool that she made biscuits with her her lol :D

Me Too!!! I don't know why but I've always thought that if he were a real boy, he'd be very attractive.
