Favorite Ankle Bootie for F/W 08?

b165164321.jpg

oops. these are those booties...

^^They look a lot like a pair of Balenciagas that I saw a couple of months back, but I'm not 100% sure

Is there anything in the world like a well-made anke boot? They're fetish heaven - and sometimes even architectural in design - AND a favourite everyday item that gets you from A to B. If there's one thing I always fall in love with, it's an ankle boot, and it can border on the obsessive. Stalking a shoe! Until the moment they're yours... all yours.

God bless whomever came along with pump-like ankle boots because those are very romantic and very chic. I love the booties from Post #81. I tend to find cuteness with chunky shoes and boots. That's maybe since I'm an '80s kid that loves the '70s and late '90s in fashion, but that's me. Anyhow, those shoes have a nice platform and a chunky design while not being too outlandish. They are almost perfect night boots to wear. I imagine those being paired with trouser-like cuffed short-shorts. You could probably be real '70s style and find a cute pair of high-waist wide-leg or flared jeans to wear with those. I love those boots from Post #81.

And those Nine West ones? While I'm somewhat a Nine West fan, those ankle boots are hiedous monsters. Almost like Halloween came three weeks early looking at those ugly monsters.

I'd say so. The boots in Post #90 are pretty nice. I don't really dig those gold tips, though. Any femme that wants to look fabulous should consider those shoes. Just (of course) make sure to build a nice look to go with those. Speaking of looks, I almost seem inclined to go with some cropped wide-leg jeans or maybe some chic cropped wide-leg trousers. Trouble is, I don't really think of these as anything to pair a suit around as I see those mostly for casual and semi-formal (at best) looks. Otherwise, nice boots!

I fell in love with the booties in post #64 as well! I really want some peep-toed ankle boots this season~

i've tried on the a.mcqueen booties last saturday (all black, not the 2 tones ones). they're SUPER HOT but i rarely wear boots and they're actually not the most comfortable boots ever, so i opted for some louboutins instead :D

i actually knew i wouldnt buy them, but i love them so much i just wanted to see them on

I've said all along that the pump-like ankle boots have been my favorite style of ankle boots. Those booties are a lovely blend of pumps and boots without too much compromise for either side. Any time you have such equality in style, the end result is a truly fabulous and enjoyable pair of ankle boots. Contrary to what I've said in the "Hybrid Shoes" thread, certain kinds of shoes can come together to form something beautifully. Ankle boots that merge pumps with boots are the most romantic to me. As much as I like wedges, only few wedge booties are lovely to me. A well-defined heel always attracts me.

I mostly talk in general because no specific shoes come to mind to me often times.

I ended up falling hard with these:

They're Calvin Klein (style "Nana"). Image is from shoes.com

I also bought these Steve Maddens in early August:

It's kind of sad because I haven't really worn these and am not sure that I like them after all.

Just posted these on the F/W shoes tread but these Balenciaga booties obviously belong here. They look so high but they are amazing, I think I may give in?! I am SURE that they are NOT in the least bit comfortable. Anyone own a pair yet?
