Favorite "Cheap" Shops?

- Forever 21
- TJ Maxx
- H&M
- Wet Seal (pretty much the same thing as F21)
- Steve and Barry's

Steve and Barry's is such an untapped resource by many people I know. I've turned many friends onto this store even before SJP was affiliated with the store. Good looking out KhaoticKharma.

I forgot about Steve & Barry's. It's a great store for basics, but my only problem is that they don't attach price tags to their items. I know everything is under $20, but I'd like to know just how much a particular piece costs. After all, there's a big difference between something costing $5 or $19.

H&M and Primark. I know people question the quality especially in Primark and they're right to but I think it has improved so much the past couple of years although the sizing can still be very random. Those are both only for basics obviously but I really do love them.

I don't really like any other than H&M. Zara and Topshop do have nice stuff sometimes, but not very often. In H&M I have bought a lot - it is so temptating always to grab a top or something when you are there, and here they are everywhere, so they are difficult to avoid :D However I try not to go there too often since all the small tops still swallow some money which I might want to save for better quality.

Sadly, for my current (practically nonexistent) budget, even high street stores are too expensive, aside from cotton basics (t shirts etc.) I don't understand how I could afford these stores when I was a student, and now I can't. Is it just me, or have stores like Zara and Mango become way more expensive? And there are no second hand stores where I live. So I am in a fashion rut, and it's depressing me in a major way. Sorry for my uninspired post, I just had to let that out. I will say that I am trying to take advantage of what I do own, and wear it in interesting ways.

H&M
...and Walgreens (a completely untapped resource for 2-for-10$ crew neck pullovers and oversized mends t shirts)

maybe eBay is the cheap shop for you? :flower: i've been using it more and more (it's so easy to get addicted), and you can find cool vintage things there. in fact, there's a thread here where member post suggested eBay finds.

^^ Thank you so much for the advice Quimby, but unfortunately, I am not eligible for a credit card where I live, because of my low earnings. I am interning and volunteering right now to gain work experience, and am basically supported by my parents. I know things will look up in the long run, but it's difficult right now. I'm not even that materialistic a person, but of course I want to buy beautiful things every now and then. At least TFS keeps me entertained:)

TOPSHOP all the way, then Zara,H&M and Urban Outfitters

I love Zara, but unless there's a big blowout sale, I don't consider it all that inexpensive.

My go-to for cheap are Old Navy, Target, Wal Mart, Payless, H&M, and Forever 21, especially for accessories.

H&M,Target, and Forever 21(sometimes because some the of stuff is of poor quality)

I used to really like Urban Outfitters as a cheap store but this past year they've gotten too... gawdy. :P

^ Most of the things at Urban Outfitters are too expensive for me! But I agree, some of the pieces are a little over the top.

i don't consider urban outfitters to be a cheap shop..
however, they do have good sales where you can find inexpensive items..
